For all the pain it takes to get a Class III item I recommend buying the best you can afford- suppression, quality, materials, ease of cleaning. I'd hate to buy the best deal and not the best quality if they were both within my price range.

This isn't surprising at all. McCain is worthless and should be the poster-child for term limits. He needs to go ahead and take the "R" from in front of his name. I respect his war service greatly but at this point in his life he's no better than Harry Reid, Lindsay Graham or any of the other power-hungry dinosaurs in Washington who need to be put out to pasture.

I absolutely understand what you're saying. It's just your use of the word "better" that isn't clicking with me. There's nothing definitively better about a Glock than a 1911 or any other gun. It's a very subjective thing. I've owned Sigs and H&Ks and currently own Glocks and Springfields. They are all great weapons. I frequently carry my XDs, but I still prefer my 1911. All subjective.

Okay, so again to each his own. If a Glock is what makes you tingle so be it. If a 1911 does it for someone else so be it. You're either drawn to 1911s or you're not. I can assure you that JMB does not care either way.

Better means different things to different folks. Carry what you're comfortable with, what you shoot well and what you'd trust your life to. Magazine capacity isn't everything. Shot placement is. JMHO.

I'm not buying ammo at the current ridiculous prices anymore than I'm paying $1200 for a DPMS AR-15 or paying $55 for a 10/22 mag. I feel like a cranky old man but I'm getting tired of this bull$hit.
