  1. I know we talk about 25 yard groupings and we should be able to hit at that range but what is the realistic range and spread of these subcompact guns like the keltec and lc9, kahr pm9, etc....
  2. I am asking about the old sigma series, not the sd line. Does smith fix the firing pin or is there another pin that will replace the original?

    Which to buy

I know they are not the same, but is the same price so...... Keltec p11 or sigma 9ve pistol? It will be a home defense and carry sometimes pistol.
  4. I have shot 38 specials and even a 9mm from her so she knows what to expect. I just did not want to take my model 10 to the woods and scratch it up. I was looking at buying another one or a 357 if I could find one at a decent price. I went on Armslist in Knoxville and people have used guns priced above the price of a new one at my local gun shop. It is funny to see people trying to get rich then they get on there and wonder why no one buys their guns!
  5. Which would be better for deer in the 7.62x39?
  6. Anyone used one of these for deer hunting?
  7. I know this has been a while but I am interested in the carbine being used on deer. Anyone done that?
  8. Hey Willcarry, I have been trying to find a used Marlin or Henry 357 rifle. Then I would need a 357. I have an old model 10 of my grandfathers. Of all the guns I own it is still the best trigger pull bar none! If you are in N.C. Then you have some great backwoods as well. I sometimes ride up near Tellico Plains and have actually crossed the border a couple of times.
  9. Send it tom and I will see if I can figure out what you have!! May take a while!
  10. What I cannot figure out is why the northern people come down for our culture then start trying to change it by complaining at all the board and commission meetings! We actually had one say in our county commission meeting that we should be like where she came from. Our commissioner suggested that she go back where she came from since it already had everything in place for her. The look on her face was hilarious!!
  11. What did you carry for hollow points? And where were you out west?
  12. Hello from the small town of Greenback.
  13. Just asking opinions of your choice for a side arm to carry on a horse. Taking in account snakes as well as two legged animals. I have walked into a couple of situations I was able to just back the horse out of and leave but it is stressful at the moment.
  14. Has anyone measured the height of the sd9ve height? I was looking at one on the net but did know how easily it could be concealed.
  15. They would work. I just do not understand why a manufacturer hasn't done one yet.
  16. Are the 1911 single action 9mm's small like that? I know there is a full size but what about the command size?
  17. I am just wondering why no manufacturing companies are doing this. You can hide the slightly longer barrel in the pants without printing but the grip prints. Better ballistics from longer barrel; better concealability with shorter grip.
  18. I am looking for a pistol with a height of less than 5 inches but still has a four inch or longer barrel. Is there any out there? I think the glock 19 is but are there others?
  19. I understand the whole thing of do not open carry because it stirs people. My problem is that "if it is legal" then how does a person get charged for disturbing the peace when I am obeying the law. That is what I pull from the original post. We bash the person but we cannot even seem to agree that he had the RIGHT to be there doing what he was doing. That is not disturbing the peace. Why are we bashing the person? You can't even get a disturbing the peace here unless the neighbor is being EXTREMELY loud after 10 pm. Just because I don't like his music can't get them a ticket. Why should doing something legal get you a ticket. Back the person NOT doing something wrong. Quit making the complainer seem like they have a right to make problems for law abiding people. Same as getting pulled over because someone doesn't like that my big SUV?
  20. Ok, so I have to ask? What good is the weapon in the open if it can be loaded? He has a right to open carry but not to be loaded? Kinda defeats the purpose. What a strange law. Hold on, let me load it before you mug me!
  21. Has anyone actually used the 45 acp for hunting deer here in Tennessee?

    Gunsmith

Front is all the way left! I haven't looked to see if I could twist the whole sight slightly left as well. Isn't it pinned to the barrel? Or is it pressed in place?

    Gunsmith

I have let other people shoot it and it is off for all.

    Gunsmith

I have had two other people shoot it and it left for them as well.

Anyone know of a reasonable gunsmith in the maryville area? I have an sks that is shooting left even with the sight moved as far as it will go. I do not know if the barrel can be turned a little to move it down or up. I can handle lower high but kentucky windage is rough at 100 or more yards. Is this possible to do?
