  1. So I didn't realize how truly small the runt actually was. The pictures are deceiving. I sketched out the dimension on paper a got a picture of its actual size. This may be the route to go. I actually like the Runt Tuxedo w Ivory 1.95oz is really light.
  2. So I've taken on a new job recently and will be doing business development for the Forest Industry all across the state. With that comes a directive that I need to wear business attire, ie. shirt, tie, sport coat, or a suit. I have carried my TGO Protech TR4 ever since the day it came in the mail, and I absolutely love that knife. It is, however, a little bit cumbersome and heavy in lightweight suit pants. So what are the recommendations for an equal quality knife, maybe smaller and definitely somewhat lighter that won't feel like my pants are sagging? Price is always a factor, I'd like not to spend a fortune (over $200) but looking for a good value. It doesn't have to be automatic open, but that's a plus
  3. I actually think Butch did a really good job at recruiting talent that won't get arrested. He just couldn't do the in-game coaching and talent development. Greg Schiano was too close to Butch for many of the donors liking. Currie was trying to pull a brother-in-law deal after Dan Mullen got snatched by Florida. Looks like the most likely guy now is Jeff Brohm from Purdue. THAT is the exact type of coach UT needs. He knows X's and Os and has proved it. and he is a big enough change from Butch that we will at least see change, good or bad
  4. I agree that he did better than a 50% record appears at Rutgers. I disagree that he is what UT needs. His demeanor and coaching style is way too similar to what Butch Jones was for me to get behind him. Currie had Schiano on his list to replace Snider at K state then comes to UT and uses the same list in a completely different program. That to me is utter incompetence. Looks like Mullets are the new Gruden
  5. Whistle Pig 12 Year Old World would be nice and should be easily available. $115-ish.
  6. all of those very tall buildings, its simply just echoing. listen all of the shots have a very repetitive 2x echo.. orignial very loud followed by 2nd at 3rd and decreased volume
  7. Yep, it would be very clear if another elevated shooting had occurred in the hotel. I think its most likely reflection of the actual muzzle flashes due to video angle.
  8. That video has earned him some nice long government surveillance. Guy is grieving but, wow, he's not stable
  9. Very sad I've heard lots of people asking how the police located the room, but for anyone who has stayed in a hotel, even a nice one, if someone on your floor is firing a high-powered rifle, you'll know. I'd speculate a neighboring room called it in.
  10. I truly believe that some people are less prone to insect bites than others. As a forester, I work in just about every outdoor environment in the southeast. Now I have had chiggers but very seldom, I also do not get poison Ivy or any of its relatives, not one time. But I've been around co-workers in close proximity get absolutely killed with chiggers and I maybe got one or two.
  11. I knew you were the man to ask, haha. Appreciate the info
  12. I like scotch but it's not my go-to. I like smokey flavor but just depends on how much. I'll try to find some samples. Thanks for the info
  13. Ok so if I were going to pick up some Japanese offerings where should I start? I'll pay the price if it's worth the money just not sure which direction to go.
  14. I really enjoyed Westworld. I binge watched it after Season 1 ended. I've been waiting for season 2 as they've had drawbacks on filming and such, but I heard Spring 2018, so maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel
  15. I quit using photobucket because it would take 9 days for the damn site to load. It was so frustrating that I just abandoned ship. Then I was using picasaweb which was nice until that became google photo and lost the sharing/embedding ability. It would just post a link back to google photo.
  16. The biggest issue is that there is no way to prove what started the fires that caused fatalities and structure damage. Fires were starting by downed power lines as often and blowing embers so there is no way to say the youths were or weren't responsible for the fire in town. I think there is no doubt they started the Chimney Tops 2 fire.
  17. According to new state legislation passed during this past session of the General Assembly, purple paint is now allowable as an alternative to signs to mark “No Trespassing” areas. Purple paint may be used on trees and posts to indicate “No Trespassing.” To review the law passed by Senator Frank Niceley (R) Strawberry Plains & Representative Roger Kane (R) Knoxville, access the General Assembly website at: http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/110/Bill/HB0078.pdf
  18. maybe so, but I'd wager they'll be significantly harder to come by for non-season holders. People have realized how fun hockey is to watch and I'd say that will carry over. Maybe not during football season but after the SuperBowl people will be anxious for sports and the Preds will be it
  19. Of course it's not, I have more, and wager most regular posters in this thread have more as well. But with that said, good luck convincing your wife, if you figure out a way please share it with me
  20. The Bowman is good stuff. If you get the hankerin to try a higher priced option try the John J Bowman single barrel, it's excellent.
  21. There is nothing waterproof except a fishes butthole. But you can get some pretty good products that will keep you dry for a long period of time. My point is depending on the amount of rain and length of time any waterproof fabric will wet through, even high-end Goretex. I recently bought a Mammut Goretex jacket from REI and have been sufficiently happy with it but have not spent a full rainy day in it yet. I like buying from REI cause I'm a member (only costs $10) and you can return any item for any reason after purchase. Even if you just don't like it. But if you buy a 'waterproof' jacket and it wets through in an hour you have to deal with warranty issues and such with the manufacturer. With REI you just return or exchange it
  22. Midges all day everyday Terrestrial will work all day but more productive later in summer usually. Otherwise it's just a matter of what's hatching when. Bug hatches are usually coordinated with sunlight and water temp. So sometimes that's first light and dusk. Sometimes that's afternoon. Some days if its overcast there won't be a hatch other days there will. Just keep and eye on the bugs you see flying, what they are, what time of day it is/conditions, and are the trout being active.
  23. It's so river specific. I'd try zebra midges dropped from a black caddis. I can't imagine that won't catch fish. If you see fish rising I'd be looking to throw a BWO emerger below a BWO dry. Soon in the afternoons you'll start to see Slate Drakes (Isonychia) hatching. If you don't see fish rising stick to nymphs they'll be the most productive and try to focus on a good drift. Don't give up on the streamers. They'll always produce. Change up color. Go to lighter to mimic shad that might be coming through the dam. Or pic up a Clouser minnow. Lots of rivers are seeing high numbers of shad right now and trout are eating them. Most of all be patient and keep fishing
