  1. Not likely. Doesn't sound like they have violated any environmental laws. No water quality hazards. You might call the county forester and see if he can talk to them, kind of an intermediary. He won't have the ability to ticket them, but could help afirm their responsibility to fix the road. TDF Contact Grainger, Hancock, Hawkins Richard Van Inwegen, Area Forester P.O. Box 121, Rogersville, TN 37857 (423) 272-7130
  2. Yeah my point was a lawyer will have to be involved. These problems are all too common. If the landowner had a proper contract with his logger, he could hold the logger liable and get rapairs done. Chances are he doesn't so the reaponsibility will fall back on him. depending on the size of the tract the proceeds may not be a large as one might think, therefore cause the landowner to be even more heaitant to cooperate. As a consulting Forester we have had many times that a logger damaged a neighbors property, regardless of intent, we have always had means to get the repairs done.
  3. It'll cover it, but neither will want to spend it to repair the road. How much would it take to tapir the road? 2 loads of gravel and clean the ditches? Does the culvert need replaced? Remember they don't have to rebuild the whole road just portions that are affected.
  4. Maybe a suppressor is on their next purchase list.
  5. Yeah Mark, I'm afraid you're right. A lawyer is going to be necessary and time is of the essence.
  6. I've got a 99e in .300 savage. My father gave it to me when I was about 14, to deer hunt with. I Love it
  7. That's not true, the liability lies with the landowner who contracted the logger. And his responsibility is subjective I do think they cannot destroy integrity of the right of way but they do have rights to use it. Now this make take a court order to get solved. Mark you'll have to be prepared to prove the logging practices have damaged your road. Take lots lots pictures with dates. Have you spoken to the logging contractor? He may be unaware of your unhappiness and simply going on direction of your neighbor. If he(logger) thinks he will have to spend a lot of time and money fixing your driveway he may alter his logging strategy.
  8. I've been looking extensively in the last 3 weeks. I have not found another barrel than the ones you listed above. What have you heard bad about the AR Stoner? What's your main basis for length? I think if you want more options you'll have to go 9" or 12.5"
  9. I tried these on before I bought my last pair (ended up going high end). If I were in the market I'd seriously consider these. They felt great, better than any boot I've ever put on, out if the box. I can't speak to durability though http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/Under-Armour-Ridge-Reaper-Hunting-Boots/productDetail/Hunting-Boots/prod999901358612/cat101537
  10. No, they are definitely just a custom shop. They don't have much to look at, at least didn't last time I was there. Had some ARs for sale and forearms and such, but not much else. The new location may be different. I didn't realize you lived near Townsend, that would be a haul. Maybe a phone call
  11. Agreed I'd love to know who it was, because lets face it, deep down we're like 12 yo girls, we all love gossip
  12. Well don't wait forever, they can be slow to reply to emails. Drop by and talk in person of you get some free time.
  13. I'm not familiar, but Predator Custom will do it
  14. If it will stay in vehicle wheels for any length if time, I'd say you'd be suprised. I know Lowes carries it, next to the Rustoleum. Oh and use about 5 light coats with 15-20 mins drying in between. That will prevent running and give and even thick coverage. An will still come off in one piece when removed.
  15. Yes, pistol or rifle shouldn't matter. As long as the caliber is acceptable and threads match. I'm sure you'll be threading that 10/22 barrel in the future
  16. My first thought was the depression under the receiver and barrel, but you may be right, that it would be too black on black. So my next thought would be to mock out the forearm area with painters tape and do the curved portion. And then the butt extension. Others than that you could use some tape and mock up any portion you wanted.
  17. Ever heard of Plastidip? It's a spray on rubber that looks just like paint, but isn't permanent. It's durable, but can be removed. I know a lot of people that use it to black out their chrome emblems on vehicles. I've even seen it used on wheels. Go to you tube and put in Plastidip. This could help you decide because you can remove it if you don't like it.
  18. Brian "earmuffs" JeffL *if it's a big issue just put your reloads in a factory box
  19. I watched it. No, they were all second rate "stars". It was nice to see them pawing over their thankfulness to the military and police, however it was so scripted it made it almost unreal. Like they were just saying what they were told and not what they felt. Other than that it was a snooze fest. There were some cool guns and some great soldiers, but it was just boring and corny.
  20. From the horses mouth. Thank you sir
  21. I get depressed reading this thread
  22. I knew I could count on you for some quality info. Haha, thanks G
