  1. Well, it doesn't accomplish anything except to enflame the situation. Lot's of idiots in the world... some with followers.
  2. Current strategy is to use dedicated warhead(s) for EMP, since the deployment requirements, and even the makeup of the bomb is different than one that's designed to kill folks. I don't remember all the details, but it will be deployed at the beginning of the attack, and at a very high altitude. It's sole purpose will be to maximize the destruction to electrical and electronic equipment.
  3. Youtube is a helluva resource.
  4. Here's a good place to start...
  5. I haven't good luck with searches since the upgrade.
  6. Now you got me digging thru idle brain cells trying to figure out why I went to Springfield. EDIT: I remember now... the dropin leaves a small gap, so I decided to go with a fitted beavertail. My bad
  7. There was a similar post a couple of days ago.
  8. I did a little research on my stainless GI, and wound up getting a quote on a bevertail and hammer installed by their custom shop. I think they have to change the mainspring housing as well. They said it's not a field upgrade. The price was reasonable. In the end, I decided to leave mine stock. It shoots comfortably as is. Not suggesting you leave it alone. Just wanted to make you aware that the frame has to be whittled on, even if you add a Springfield beavertail.
  9. I thought you had to cut the frame on a GI to add a beavertail.
  10. Light special? The 44 special is real manageble as is, especially in something as heavy as a model 29.
  11. No, but I lived under the assumption that they could for over 30 years anyway. I don't mind so much that they can trace it to the FFL. Since I'm a law abiding guy, I don't mind if LE has some tools. On the other hand, gun registration would make me fighting mad.
  12. Not the same as a registry, because they can't track the gun past the original owner.
  13. I'm not worried about other countries. I'm worried about this one
  14. I grabbed this out of the Wiki article. "ATF specifically provides "a description of the original retail purchaser" to the requestor". I have tried to believe they just throw that data away, but wouldn't bet money on it. If this is true, it's not quite the same as a full blown gun registry. Doesn't even bother me that much that it exists, except for the government lying their asses off (again).
  15. And....... they're off. You can get an M&P with a safety. Also US made. I have no use for a safety on a striker gun. It's an extra step (and extra time) to ready the gun.

    S&W 29-2

I love the old nickel guns. I had a model 15 and a model 19 in nickel back in the day. Still regret getting rid of them.
  17. Great news, man. I've wondered how it turned out.
  18. Been using the Hoppe's Elite products.
  19. I love it. Takes me back to my pre-teen years. Don't use no. 9 anymore, but have a 30 year old bottle of it in the closet.
  20. I'm getting me some of this! Hoppe's 9 - No. 9 Air Freshener
  21. Looks like trigem has been kidnapped by terrorists! Guess we need to put a recue mission together.
  22. And it's a good laxative, in case you have a problem swallowing pills.
  23. Best I can tell, you shouldn't go to Louisana to learn English. EDIT: It's a much better choice than Croatia
  24. Looks like that pizza would be hard to throw. You need advanced skills
  25. You'll see
