Three weeks seems to be the average lately. If you haven't received it in 5-6 weeks, I'd call. I waited 3 months before I called. I received it 5 days afer I called.

My carry is divided between a Kimber Ultra CDP II, a Colt Commander and a SA TRP. A good belt and holster are important in choosing a 1911 for carry.

Or you could get a 1911 to begin with!

I would give Springfield Armory a call. They should be able to correct the 'gunsmith' work if it's possible to be done.

Most of the instructors I've endured had never been out of a classroom in their life and were liberal.

I've seen some excellent quality and workmanship in 1911s. The tupperware guns are dependable but don't have the feel of a well made firearm.

Most classes on the Constitution are likely to include several of the Amendments in addition to the First.

I've used a Belkin G router for years without a problem. The Motorola modem from ATT was sensitive to heat and gave intermittent problems when it got hot. If it it goes out again I'll switch to cable. Those quick and easy things -usually aren't!

The TRP is a fine pistol and probably as accurate as I'll ever need. I had reservations about the wait and price of the PRO model, but called Deb at the Custom Shop and ordered one. After I handled it the first time, I was satisfied that it had been a good decision. This is an excellent pistol!

The only alloy pistol I have is a Kimber Ultra CDP II. I use magazines from Wilson Combat and have yet to have any problems with this pistol. At 25 yards of less, I shoot it as well as my Commander or full size 1911s. I've heard others say the smaller 1911s have problems, but I haven't seen it with this one. The difference in size and weight make it a nice carry pistol.

The guide rod on my Beretta is steel. The main advantage of the plastic is cost.
