2.
Folks, the sad thing of this whole situation (besides the loss of inocent lives) is that everywhere any of us carry somewhat concealed and printing, or carrying open, we're gonna get the law called on us by someone who thinks we're up to no good. Do we continue to carry or lay off for a few days? I think I'm gonna back off for a bit.   Dave S     In some parts of the country, maybe. In TN (or at least SE TN), I don't see a tragedy like this changing much of the opinions here. Sure, if someone is already antigun, they may be a little more strongly antigun right now. Personally, I am reminded of my duty to the country (constitutionally speaking) and my loved ones to carry. Perhaps take a little bit more time to conceal compared to most of the time.    Also, sometimes you have copycats.
I carry legally so I really don't give a damn what other people think. I also carry concealed so as not to spook people. I'm NOT going any farther than that to make THEM feel all warm and fuzzy. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2

 4.
Well that's a bugger but in TN I couldn't see you being charged or at least indicted by a grand jury. TN law states that even if your carrying a handgun without a permit but use it in self defense there isn't supposed to be a charge of carrying with intent to go armed. If you entered a gun free zone to terminate a shooter than yeah I think you might get commended. Now civilly your a** is out there for the taking.a   I think his main concern is that in his hypothetical situation even though he saved many peoples' lives by stopping the shooter he also let a bullet graze one of the teachers and fears that he will be sued and possibly incriminated for this fact. I think back to the movie "SWAT" in which the cocky SWAT officer stops the hostage tackers but also wounds one of the hostages. I think in the movie it was mentioned that even though he possibly saved the hostage's life, she was suing the city. Actually a very likely scenario I believe, to save many lives but be sued because you may make a mistake or aren't 100% proficient.
Sad situation because things like this make people like me only shoot back for me and mine. 6.
Ya'll need to lighten up on the conspiracy theory shit.  Simple fact is this country is full of retards prone to violence. Yep, you can read their post here on a daily basis.
Well, you haven't been reading any conspiracy theory type posts from me, save tonight. It just seems weird all these violent acts are committed within such a short period of time. It may be a simple fact that they are out there but the question is..... Why now and in succession? Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 7. I don't think it's impossible. It will be fifty years before a conspiracy of that magnitude is out. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 8. Seriously though, have all these recent shooting been PURE coincidence? I'm not a tinfoil hat type of guy but why are all the crazies coming out at once?!! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 9.
I'm not posting this to politicize anything about it, it is far too soon for that. I saw Obama's televised reaction and it just seemed to me that his physical reactions were being faked. I'm curious, did anybody else get that feeling, or am I just seeing things?   I thought I may have been the only one.  I watched it live, and he was pretending to wipe back tears but his eye's weren't even watery.  You can tell by looking at someone's eye's if they are crying or had just cried.  He kept reaching to wipe away tears, but there was little to no emotion in his face.   I thought it odd, and figured perhaps he just cries differently.  :ugh:
Cries differently! That's freakin hilarious and I'm not totally sure why! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 10.
Did anyone catch the older lady reporter on CNN that was playing a typical talking-head and reported his firearms as a 'Glock', a 'Sig Souzer' and a 'Bushwacker' model 223' "that shoots ammunition like the military uses in Afghanistan".. You also keep hearing reporters and guest calling them 'automatic weapons' on all the news channels just feeding the general public's ignorance and fear for political motives.
Holy shit. I've heard them assign the name AK47 to EVERYTHING but this is blowing my mind. A simple Google search could really help these people sound less clueless. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 11.
There is no way to implement gun confiscation on a grand scale. However, (hope I'm wrong) but I could see, turn them in or ownership will be a felony, punishable by a $10,000 fine and/or time.   Many sheeple would turn them in.   And many won't, some might even see such a law as the last straw...  banning guns will result in a lot more deaths than was seen in CT today.
Amen Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 12.
How old are you man? Just go to google or copwatch and watch, read about and listen to all the abuses that are happening today via LEO's. It's their training. Federally mandated fear mongering. Police officers ARE NOT THE SAME good people they were when my grandfather was Police captain in Westfield NJ and cousins, uncles and friends were all either police or Firemen. No sir...Police these days are to be avoided....I know there are some good ones out there but in general LEO's are to be avoided. If you don't understand this you must live under a rock....MOST ARE CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATING OATH BREAKERS. Well, I hope you never become a victim of a crime because you'll look silly calling the police to come help......
Help? More likely to write a report and move on. 19.
I see we can agree on something. yup what G27ATT said break it down and if it has any shims just take note of them. I found some active rust that I feel better about after some corrective maneuvers.
Shims..... Very important. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 20.
So you don't see any harm in removing the fore end? The bands that hold it on are really gummed up.
I would want to stop active rust. For my own piece of mind, I'd absolutely take the action out. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
 21. Yeah definitely go easy on it. That's a rifle many people, like myself, would be very happy to own. Break the bolt down and clean every nook and cranny. Clean the chamber and extractor relief really well too. I'd remove the action and remedy any active rust hidden by the stock as well. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
