1.   That's because the govt will spend money to protect their money, but not people. You know if schools don't have enough money for new books aren't going to get funding for extra security. It's such a shame & my prayers go to the families.   I have two boys, ages 2 & 6 and my wife is going to college to become a middle school teacher. Some schools have considered allowing teachers to go through tactical training courses and having electronic safes for access to firearms in case of an emergency like this, but it's unlikely the govt will ever allow it. They would rather take guns from the hands of the law abiding citizens.
2. I like the water sprinkler and wate hose ideas! A lot of people around here use the deer cams to catch crooks & they do work. Even though it's annoying, you don't actually want to do anything to harm these trouble makers.   A few years ago someone in our neighborhood was stealing gas from my dads work truck. After a few nights of it, my dad left a note inside the gas door that said, "I hope the gas was worth it because I'll be waiting for you one of these nights!" The next morning we found the note on the ground and their empty gas jug & hose halfway down our driveway. In this case the note worked because they never stole gas from us again.
3. 9mm NATO is only rated 10% hotter than standard ammo. It should be no problem for your P95.
4. I'm assuming it has the standard black "bruniton" finish. In excellent condition with 6 factory Beretta brand mags & case etc., I would place it in the $450-$500 range. If it has promag, checkmate, airtronic, or unmarked mags, it would be worth less.
5.
Out of all the reasons to vote for Obama, this one is the best.
You don't know his girlfriend...
6.
If each one of those people donated 5 cents, she would have the $10,000 to pay off the loan. Stuff pisses me off that people will go out of their way to spend everyone's money but their own
Better have everyone send 10 cents each. Remember that the govt will probably count it as income and then she'll owe Uncle Sam a share of it too.
7. I know what you mean. My brother in law who is 20 yrs old, going on 12 told me he voted for O' because his girlfriend's mom and dad told him he had to since he was living under their roof & he was afraid his girlfriend wouldn't "put out" if he voted for Romney. Plus he's convinced that Obama is a big gun supporter! I don't care who he votes for, but what an idiotic reason for voting the way he did! By the way, he doesn't even know the name of our vice president! Is this a typical Dem. household?
8. When you co-sign, it's still a contract. One local bank I've delt with has a option to "insure" your loan. If you should die, the loan would be taken care of instead of your family inheriting the debt. This happened a few years ago when my uncle died of a heart attack &, thankfully since he took the extra loan insurance, his widow didn't have to worry about the loan on top of funeral arrangements & all the other things she had to deal with after loosing him. If you had a co-signer, the most they would have to pay would be the interest & not even that in many cases.
9. Great story. These knives seem to have been bringing fathers & sons together for years. My dad gave me my 1981 edition Camillus when I joined Cub Scouts & I still have it. My son's almost scouting age & will probably end up with it too.
10. My brother recently ordered one from Gilbert's online and he loves everything about it. Gilbert's has them on sale right now brand new with one 12 round mag & a SIG brand laser for $399 shipped. http://www.gilbertsg...aser E2022-40-B
11. Cool idea, but $130 each! No thanks! Why does everything that's "good" for the enviroment cost so freakin' much that I'll have to spend more $$ on gas and put out more polution driving an extra day to work just to pay for it. Doesn't make sense does it? If they really wanted to do something good for the enviroment, they would make it affordable enough to actually get used by people. I'll wait for the "get two for $19.95" infomercial version.
12. Maybe they're expecting people to hand out "bath salts" for Halloween instead of candy, bringing on the Zombie apocalypse!
13. You might be an Arab redneck if you shoot a power line in two & electrocute 23 of y'er family members...here's your sign!
14. One in the chamber, hammer down, no safety. My SIG & most of my Berettas are DA/SA & are decocker only models & that what I prefer.
15. IMO the meth addict should have recieved a long luxurious ride in a hearse instead of an ambulance. Statistics show that approx. 98% of meth addicts don't kick the habit & usually wind up dead or disabled! How long do you think it will be before he recovers & does this again?
16. Catfish are bottom dwellers. Try fishing with bloody chicken livers with sinkers. You'll start catching catfish by the bucket full, if they're there.
17. I would suggest buying a Boy Scout handbook & checking out some of their field & survival books. There are other books on the market, but those are a good starting point. They don't have everything, but are full of great information, like which plants to stay away from. I once took a survival class when I was in Boy Scouts, but need a refresher course since it's been over a decade. I do remember eating "cattail" roots, berries, and making tea from wild tea berry leaves on a couple of outings with my dad when I was a teenager. He was a Boy Scout leader for several years and knows a lot about edible and non edible plants. He grew up in the mountains in a large and poor family and they had to know how to get extra food & hunt or go hungry sometimes.
18. I looked them up. Sounds interesting...in kind of a wierd way. I may have to swing by there next time I'm heading through, just because I saw it here. They have a shooting range and they even sell live chickens. Oh, yeah! Moving targets... Here's what they posted on their website. "Mixon’s Emporium is the ultimate shooting and shopping destination in Fentress County Tennessee. Our outdoor shooting facility has five 25 yard lanes which offer the ability to practice with your pistol on steel targets or to sit down and sight in your rifle on paper. We also offer you the most complete selection of quality new children's clothing, defensive firearms, reloading supplies, live plants, seeds, eggs and chickens to be found in Fentress County. Count on us for exceptional quality, unequaled value and personal service."
19. Actually saw some good gun deals, but had to keep reminding myself that I couldn't bring home any guns today. (Dang bills!) My dad sold his SR9c and brought home with a really nice Springfield XD Tactical pistol. I met up with a forum member on the way to the show & sold my Beretta 96, but only bought a few accessories this trip. I was looking for mags & have always found good deals in the past, but they seemed to be selling higher at this show than usual so no mags today. Maybe I'll have better luck at one of the upcoming Expo shows.
20. Um...I have to disagree. We have a Walmart here in Oneida... Never mind. That sucks too! Other than the Big South Fork, meth labs, & a county full of crooked officials, there's not much of anything around here. We're moving the heck outta here as soon as my wife gets out of college! It's funny, but every time I have an item for sale I get about 50 messages that say "You're from where? Is that near Nashville?"
21. I don't think this would be an issue since it's more of a recoil pad than a stock extender. The ATF probably wouldn't look twice at it unless it was an obvious attempt to make the gun a lot longer. I've seen rubber shogun recoil pads as thick as the one he's using. You never know what you'll see next when it comes to the mind of a "good ole' boy". As for the vertical foregrip...that's probably not such a good idea & I believe is illegal on a "pistol".
22. I know it's not a cat picture, but here are a couple pictures of the best friend our family ever had. He was only 5 weeks old when I got him back in 1993 & I was still in high school. Scrappy was 17 years old & when we lost him last year to kidney failure.
23. In my experience Bersa brand are the only ones that are consistantly reliable, but before you trash the Promags you might try giving them a good cleaning inside & replacing the springs with Bersa brand springs. I just ordered several to rebuild some old Bersa mags I picked up & they're only $1 each off Bersa's website. Also take the follower out and see if it has any burrs that need to be buffed off. That's a common problem. If you find a deal on any, I would definetely grab some factory Bersa mags.
24. I agree they're very funny, even though I don't like cats.
