  1.   +1. Compare an eary manufactured Nano next to a new one. They changed the side design on them too.
  2.   Wow! I didn't know "cracker" meant  :cop: (sarcasm alert).  It's just been brought to my attention by another expert witness that the "N" word is urban slang for "zombie" so Zimmerman must have thought he was tracking a zombie.
  3. Maybe someone told her to keep it lubed up at all times & she just got mixed up.
  4.   They did it after the Rodney King beating videos went public. I remember seeing them rioting, looting, & beating people in the streets on TV. They also threatened to do the same thing if O.J. Siompson was found guilty during his murder trial. It would seem that parts of this country has people that haven't fully evolved yet.
  5. Forgive my ignorance of models, but I'm a pistol guy. What kind of rifle is it?
  6. Don't send it back yet. The Nano needs a break in period of about 200 rounds & Beretta suggests using SD or +p for the break in. Is there a chance this an early production Nano? Beretta had some guide rod/spring problems with some of the early production models, but I think Beretta provides the new guide rods/springs for free. They also changed the design of the slide/barrel a few months into production because of issues. A lot of guys had some problems during the initial break in period, but that was usually with standard or under powered ammo. After 150-200 rounds most never had any more issues. Keep in mind that the Nano is over built & was originally designed around the .40 s&w round & it craves SD & +p ammo. Hopefully Beretta will kick it in gear & release it in .40 s&w soon.   Here's a video from Beretta showing the 1,000+ round Nano test with a dry, unlubed pistol with +p ammunition. In the video he also explains what ammo he used for the test & that 200 rounds of SD ammo is suggested for proper break in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xOsIr3xsv2w
  7.   I opt for the 3 second rule...let me know 3 seconds before you fart so everyone can roll down a window.   The main rule for me is NO SMOKING in my vehicles. I don't even like smokers to ride in my vehicle because smokers smell like ash trays all the time.
  8. You could always have him take it to an FFL to hold it for shipping. You can then contact the FFL them to varify everything's authentic. I once did a deal like this. His FFL faxed a copy of their license to my FFL. When it was varified that they were indeed a real FFL gun shop & had the gun in hand I sent payment & recieved my pistol a few days later at my FFL. The most important part is to use a protected payment method like USPS MO & send payment with tracking & require a signature. If he's willing to do this you might be safe, but if he's reluctant then I would walk away. While scams do happen, I've been careful & have had no problems. I've bought as many firearms from out of state/online sellers as I have FTF.
  9.   An incident like this had not happened or at least wasn't known about until this happened. All leaders & volunteers that participate in troop functions must pass a criminal background check so people never considered he would do something like this. He admitted being gay only after he was arrested. This was the first big blemish on the reputation of the BSA & many of their safety rules were rewritten after this.
  10.   OK. Here's an example. About 20 years ago at a Spring Camporee where over 1,500 Boy Scouts from all areas of the state & out of state were in attendance, a young Boy Scout from another troop was molested by a gay Scout leader. This happened at Bandy Creek Camp Grounds in the Big South Fork. I was there that weekend & didn't learn what had happened until a few days later at a meeting. Be assured that boy was affected for the rest of his life in one way or another. This is one of the reasons gay leaders are not tolerated in the BSA.
  11.   Oviously you're either gay yourself & have a problem with my opinion or you just enjoy being a troll. So far you've turned every word I've said around without even reading my earlier posts.
  12.   Because 99% of religions consider homosexuality immoral. By the way, the BSA is a private organization & no one is required to join.
  13.   IMO that was a very ignorant response. The BSA doesn't tell you what religion or what God you must follow, but they do ask that you believe in God. As far as "...curses, drinks, looks at porno", & the rest.... if you follow the laws of Scouting & are "morally straight" you probably don't do those anyway & even if you do, they would be prohibited in front of the kids & on all Scouting functions. You obviously have no clue as to what it takes to lead a youth group & what the BSA truely stands for. It's not about being a bunch of saints, but leading by example. No one is perfect & shouldn't try to be. The BSA is about building character.
  14.   I don't agree with a homosexual lifestyle, but wouldn't kick a kid out for being gay, but also don't think it should be an open issue. The Boy Scouts is a moral based organization that includes God & prayer in their activities, but doesn't push any particular religion or form of hatred toward others. What has made me upset is that they want people to be openly gay & make us say that it's alright. Next, they will want to ban prayer & the Pledge of Allegiance. I know kids have been in the troop that were gay & they were treated like everyone else. As long as it's not discussed & doesn't have an effect on the activities of the troop, I could care less. The reason I'm there is for the kids that have broken & abusive homes, get picked on in school, have social problems & need leadership. I've seen some truely hurt kids that needed the BSA & opening up discussions on whether they're gay or not shouldn't be part of the plan. There's a lot more to the BSA than camp fires & sleeping in tents.
  15. I'm glad that site set me straight before I made a mistake & posted any of those words online. Earlier today while looking at some clouds & eating some BBQ pork after using my exercise bike I thought to myself, I'm sure glad I don't live in Mexico...oh yeah, & gangs.   Are they really wasting our tax dollars on this crap?
  16. As an Eagle Scout, an assistant Scout Master, & BSA commitee member, I can say this is far from a highly supported decision & personally I think it's a load of BS! The BSA, which is a private organization, is allowing pressure from outside to sway them into giving in. Organizations within the BSA are already suffering & I fear this will be the beggining of the end for the Boy Scouts. Yesterday I received an email stating that our district's OA (Order of the Arrow) will be canceling some meetings, camp outs, & activities until further notice & some Scout Masters are resigning & some troops are shutting down in protest to the BSA's decision. The Boy Scouts of America's decision to give in just to keep the rainbow riders happy helps no one!
  17. I've met Jesse Ventura on more than one occassion & IMO it's going to take a heck of a lot more than winning this case to get any respect. The guy needs a major overhaul on his attitude & personality. Calling him a "worthless tool" is an understatement.
  18. 1) My wife & I took the four hour HCP class.....paid $28 each for the class. 2) Next day went to range for shooting test.....included in price. 3) A couple days later, went to the nearest DMV for photo & paperwork....$115 each state fee for license. 4) Drove to finger printing center...included in $115 state fee. 5) Three weeks later recieved our HCP's in the mail.   Some DMV's do finger printing & some don't. My local DMV doesn't take ID photos or fingerprints so it was an out of town trip for us.
  19.   Thanks. I don't think I'm ready to let go of this one. I'm reluctantly listing on my treasured Berettas right now.
  20.   They won't have to ban cell phones. For a while now, they've been trying to get permission to start recording & keeping every phone call & text on record in search of possible criminal activity. Our freedom is being stolen a little more each day & the govt. is using events like this as an excuse to "protect" us from ourselves.
  21. Well, it didn't take long for the scum to applaud this trajedy... http://bigstory.ap.org/article/jordan-extremist-praises-boston-bombing
  22.   In TN the FFL must keep a physical record of the sale (including the gun's serial # & your info) for 20 years. The BATF does random checks & can ask for any of the FFL's gun records dating back, up to 20 years. After the 20 year period is up, the FFL can trash the records. A friend owns a pawn shop & showed me his storage room where he has about 10 filing cabinets full of gun reciepts waiting to expire so he can get rid of them.
  23. I've found that extra large & heavy packages are cheaper through UPS, but almost everything else is much less expensive to ship through USPS.
