  1. Most sigma problems are user induced because of the long hard pull. DA revolver shooters usually shoot them well. Those who are used to shorter lighter SA triggers tend to flinch and end up pushing, pulling, and dropping shots. I was first in line to get the SD40 and absolutely love mine. So much that I bought a SD9 to go along with it. Both have been flawless and shoot very well. Like you said, once I held it I knew I had to have one.
  2. saw on the S&W forum where a guy sent in a broken sigma 380 and got a bodyguard out of the deal.
  3. I am looking for a Metro Arms American Classic 2. For the money they are very nice and fit and finish was better than comparable RIA's
  4. Anyone have any reliable load data for these? I am looking for a starting point to load varying charges for my golf ball launcher on my AR.
  5. Bought a 91/30 off a fellow TGO'er a while back. Ordered a monte carlo stock , scout scope mount and a very cheap scope off ebay. 3 shots and was shooting on target. 5 shots and about a 5" spread at 100 yards shooting old com bloc ammo in VERY windy conditions. I was shooting off the roof of my old truck which didn't give me the best shooting position. I am very impressed with this and I think it will be the perfect pig slayer. Total investment is under $200.
  6. I've been there before. I really liked the selection they had. I just have to wait till I'm up that way.
  7. No luck today. Prices seemed even higher than usual. Good news is I'm not in hurry. I'll find what I'm looking for in time.
  8. I'm heading to the gun show and gonna pick up a 1911. Shot my brothers and really liked it. Was never really a fan but figured it's a good idea to have something that magazines are plentiful and if SHTF ammo may be easy enough to pick up off of dead guys, lol. He paid for the parts to make my lee pro 1000 load 45acp so I figured I can reload a bunch and just stock pile it. I figure I won't shoot it much but it will be a good go to gun.
  9. I see a similar situation as is happening in Egypt if we don't start to close the gap between the have's and have not's. In that case I'm cool and can snag my trailer and rhino. Load up the bed full of supplies and head to my fall back location. As soon as I get my welder fixed I am going to be working on some drum wood stoves, one will be a double stack with the top being used as an oven if needed. Already have all the supplies I need to build a proper fireplace and chimney at the location all I will have to do is collect rain water to make the mortar. Also bought some heavy duty plastic totes to move the food in volume. Now I just need to find a hand drill and a few other odds and ends hand tools.
  10. I'm really hoping that isn't the issue, cause I've got an 89 chevy 1 ton crew that is my go to bug out vehicle for now.
  11. Similar here. Although I think I may be the only one in my family remotely prepared, and I'm still working on it. If for some reason there is a EMP then I am screwed cause all my resources are here and I'm not attempting to lug 1000 lbs of food on foot 11 miles. May have to go out and find a horse and buggy and come back for the supplies.
  12. None that I have found. I have had this conversation with friends and most seem to be of the mindset that they can/will do everything on their own. I on the other hand know that labor is going to be the greatest commodity and between gathering, hunting, defending, and building that the more hands you have the better. Finding like minded people and researching and practicing may be your only hope.
  13. The canon safes at tractor supply are a good deal and carry a fantastic warranty.
  14. They were that price at the knob creek show in the fall. I plan on getting a few then. Show here in mid TN today was same as usual 30-35 per k but I wish I would have bought more when I bought mine.

    PLUM CRAZY

I opened it in paint, rotated it, saved it, closed it, reopened it and it was still rotated, uploaded and low and behold not rotated. I could probably spend more time figuring it out but don't feel like wasting my time. If you kinda tilt your head and squint with one eye it kinda looks like it might be an AR. LOL
  16. I've got one that must be the exception. 3-9x42 and after 1500 or so .223/556 it is still holding zero. Taken it on and off several times and it still holds a sub moa. They are lifetime warranty, also from what I understand they do make some airsoft specific ones. For a 22 I wouldn't hesitate.
  17. Agree, river gravel will make much cheaper and and more plentiful ammo. And I won't have the added weight of steel shot.
  18. titegroup as well. 4.5 grains with 180gr. Shoots very well and CLEAN!
  19. I gave up on the 360 after 4 of them went toast. I have had my original ps3, 20 gig no wifi since day 1 with 0 problems. I don't play halo so the PS3 is the way to go, the fact that it is still the best blu ray player on the market is a plus too. That being said I got bored with black ops after about 2 hours. The game is just too unrealistic for me to wrap my head around. Graphics are way too capcom vs marvel. If you want a very realistic first person shooter get SOCOM Confrontation for ps3. for $10 used all day it doesn't get any better. Only downside has been the last 2 weeks since the major release of global tweak there are a lot of cheaters. Still better and more realistic than BO and it's been out 4 years. The new one in July is a big disappointment too because it went to the cheezy BO style graphics. If your on PSN my user id is fastsaturnsw2 or FK_YOUR_COUCH.
  20. I am a big fan of Vortex products and their customer service. I don't think you would regret it.
  21. And if you want aimpoint look for non aimpoint price buy a primary arms. If you want aimpoint quality for knock off price buy a vortex, there are no knockoffs and after 4000 rnds of mixed 556, 223, and 22lr I can assure they hold zero better than anything I've seen. I have not touched my adjustment since it was set day 1.
  22. 5.0 Grains seems like a lot of titegroup for a 180gr. I use 4.5 grains with plated HP's and they pack a decent punch. No chrono numbers but they feel like a factory federal or winchester.

    PLUM CRAZY

Where can you get a complete lower with parts kit (installed) and adjustable stock set for $130? Answer you can't. As for broken hammers, I've seen metal ones with 2000 rounds break. My Plum Crazy has well over 6000 rounds of 22lr and 223 through it and shows no wear. I think the poly lowers you are referring to may be the bushmasters or some other manufacturers. I can't find any info on them failing. I may be wrong but mine has been top notch. David, I've got one of the JSE uppers on my plum crazy. If you want to try mine you are more than welcome. I'm just down the street in Columbia.

Now slap an upper on it and enjoy. Curious to see if your smile is as big as mine while I'm shooting
