  1. Ignorant thinking and ignorant posts don't just make you look ignorant they make all of us look ignorant. Again judging muslims based on 9-11 is like saying all americans are like Timothy Mcvay. Or we are all like Al Sharpton, the Mi Militia, or are we all like Charles Manson? We have enough crackpots in this country that make us look bad already, do we get judged based on those few people? Wake up and take a deep breath, now let your hatred out and God will set you free. It amazes me how many people claim to be Christians but don't want to follow the teachings of Christ. What happened to love thy neighbor? Do you want to be the one standing in front of Christ being asked "Uh, What part of my teachings didn't you understand? I laid it out clearly for you!" Come on people quit being the biggest group of hypocrites and open your eyes that not all Muslims are evil.

    UAE Caracal pistols

I'd try one. It looks interesting.
  3. The fact is the majority of muslims are peaceful. The problem is they are judged by the actions of the few extremists. No different than the majority of southerners are decent hard working people but we often get called ignorant and lazy because of the few that lazy, ignorant, disability faking, and "gun nuts". I have no problem with a mosque, church, temple, or anything else they want to build. What I have a problem with is people who cling to the constitution when it suits their wants and needs but, quickly abandon it when it goes against what they want. These are US citizens and have the right to worship however they see fit.
  4. You can take down a M&P without flipping the disconnect by using the pull the trigger method. I prefer the disconnect method better but it is actually easier than a glock to take down using the trigger pull method.
  5. From what I've been told. Always buy the best you can afford. Then save up for some L series glass:)
  6. M&P 40c, SD40, SD9, Stag 2l, Dell laptop. Might be able to come up with a few others.
  7. I have gotten to the point that I need a safe. Nothing fancy but want better than the stackon cabinets. Don't want to break the bank and only have 4 rifles and a couple of pistols to keep in it. Used is fine too. Anybody have any suggestions?
  8. $725 isn't bad either. Nice grouping too.
  9. I built my most recent AR as a Budget build and have $580 into it including the optic. It's no show queen but it shoots well and didn't cost me a fortune.
  10. Wow never thought this would get so much response. I have a few rifles but have never thought to throw one in the trunk or truck. But when I am going to the range you would swear I'm going to invade a small country.
  11. Regardless of the number if they are unarmed I pull my weapon. If they continue I incapacitate 1 to make an example. If they continue I have no problem using whatever amount of force preserves my life. If it is just 1 person unarmed, whatever amount of force it takes to keep him at bay. Last thing I want is to be in a situation where they get my gun and shoot me.
  12. I have the doubler with my strikefire and rarely use it as well (rarely shoot over 100 yards). However, the times I have used it, it works well and takes up little extra space on the rail.
  13. I typically carry my M&P 40c and an extra full size mag with xgrip. Giving me 26 rounds total. I don't have a mag pouch so I keep it in my weak side pocket. I do sometimes carry my SD40 and extra mag bumping it up to 29. But just wondering your thoughts. 1 extra mag, 2 extra mags, no mags, or something else?
  14. Vortex strikefire. Comes with mount, 2x magnifier, and has a lifetime warranty. For $150 you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.
  15. I've got a 597 and it has been flawless. Remington makes banana mags for it also. Has a sweet little trigger too. Brother has a marlin and it shoots well too. Main reason I got the 597 was I got it OTD for $120.
  16. I too had an out of state birth certificate but got mine in less than 3 weeks. Hang in there, it will be there soon enough.
  17. I played competition paintball for 15 years. While I don't want to say it has made me a better shooter it has helped me to know how my body reacts to adrenaline and has given me some skills that are useful and do transfer well to the real world. Skills such as shooting off hand (weak side), snap shooting, trigger control, and environmental awareness to name few. While I haven't participated in any IDPA events yet, I don plan on doing so, as well as some 3 gun. But for now when I go shooting I make sure I practice drawing and firing, point shooting, and shooting from cover. The one big sticker for me is how many people practice shooting by just standing 7 yards out and dumping mag after mag. I practice using paper plates and look at it as center mass. If I can hit 100% from various scenarios and at various distances then I call it good. Others may look at me as crazy but I really think it will help in the event I do ever need to pull.
  18. I will second Vortex optics. I have a Strikefire and for the money it is hard to beat. Plus they have an unconditional lifetime warranty. They don't care how you broke it, they just fix/replace it and get you back shooting.

    Holster Choice

I've had good luck with Don Hume holsters. I have an IWB and an OWB.
  20. I am the proud new owner of a SD9. This will sit next to my SD40, M&P40c, and my Sigma 40V 98 limited. I picked it up in order to get my wife shooting more. While she is able to stay on target with the 40's, she often complains about the recoil. I figured this would be a good idea to balance out her desire and my desire to find a cheaper practice ammo. I figure I can shoot the 9mm for about 25% less than the .40 which means 25% more shooting. Here's a pic with the SD9 on the left, M&P center, SD40 on the right. Dad is using the Sigma right now to see if he likes carrying the Auto over his .357 magnum. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  21. Never had a worse handgun but a friend has an intratec tec 9. You can get a shot off about every 5 minutes. Assuming you can get it to fire at all. We were at his house one night and he was bragging about how quick he could pull the trigger and "bump" fire it. An hour later he got 3 shots off and blamed it on the ammo. Another friend took the ammo and had no issues.
  22. I couldn't get the remington to function well in my 597 or AR15 with cmmg conversion. I gave it to a friend and he raved about how good it shot in his phoenix arms pistol. I went to federal and haven't looked back. Shoots great and no "duds" to speak of.
  23. Check with the class where you will be taking the test. Where I took mine they only had 3 rules; no rim fire, no magnum, no reloads!
  24. If you have a deep freezer, take empty gallon milk jugs and rinse them out and fill them with water and freeze. We were without power for almost a week a few years ago and they kept everything frozen. I have about 15 to 20 in my freezer. I use them in coolers when I go riding as well. One will usually last a day or 2.
