IMO I think the agent was justified as well. I think part of the problem is the occupation (or former occupation) of some of the witnesses. But definetly an example of how a good intentions can end in bad circumstances.

You are right about DUIs but 39-17-1351©(10) says... To the OP, with your FL permit you should be able to carry anywhere that honors non-resident FL permits without problem. However being a TN resident, I think you will have to have a TN permit to lawfully carry in TN.

When I was in Parsons (just moved back) I always went to Savannah instead of Jackson....much much quiker. When I was in Milan, went to Trenton and the wait wasn't bad, just depended on the day and time of day.

I found the video of the other app I was thinking of (can't post it...language) but it titled I-Gun Traffic Rampage, so guess it was iGun. So what is the difference between iGun and iGun lite (except for the price of course)? I downloaded the lite, can't tell from reading the description what the $0.99 version would give me.

Quite a while back someone posted a link of an app or at least a video of an app that had a revolver that you could load individual chambers in the cylinder and spin the cylinder, I think it also had a semi-auto that you could pull back the slide and so on. Just got my iPhone 4 and would love to get the app, but can't seem to find the post. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Correct...My Bad However this is just another reason I wonder if the legislature actually intended a violation of 39-17-1359 to cause your HCP to be suspended, since not other violation of weapons laws (except being intoxicated in a place that serves alcohol) can cause you HCP to be suspended or revoked. True...if he is denied tell him to appeal. Over half of all denials that are appealed are reversed and allowed to go through.

If you're talking about what I think you are...there has always been something in 39-17-1352 that says if you violate a povision of 39-17-1301 - 39-17-1360 you're HCP will revoked or suspened. We have just talked about that more since SB3012 was passed. Also just to be clear.....if this wouldn't affect him getting/keeping his HCP a firearm purchase shouldn't be a problem either...correct?

Columbia PD has a ride along program. Rode with my brother several years ago. Have to stay inside car.

Regardless of whether this charge is expunged or not, I don't think it should prevent him from purchasing a firearm or getting/keeping his HCP. It was after all only a Class C misdemeanor.

Actually to note the law doesn't "allow" the old signs to be left up, it "requires" that they be left up. I really don't worry about uneducated park rangers trying to enforce no carry as I am uniformed HCP holders not carrying because of the sign.

Between the above and the recent post of permits being issued within 3 weeks of the application.....have to say it looks like the HCP office is getting their act together. Kudos to them!

I hear ya... I have always said even if I didn't inform, I would always speak up before letting the officer find it on me and/or in the car by search etc.....
