  1. Hell I started "Hoarding" stocking up on ammo in 1999 when is wasn't cool. Lol.I just wasn't reloading back then, you could buy ammo reasonable back then.
  2. I've been loading a lot of 38 Special for my lever rifles and Blackhawk .Right now I have about 4 Thousand SPP and around 3 K of bullets. I been loading more of these than rifle rounds lately, though I do have a lot loaded up.I just been shooting more of the 38's than any of my 22's. How low do you let you primer and bullet stash get before you start getting nervous?
  3. Yes , I think you can buy some really good lights ( bright) for not a lot of money nowadays .I have some lights I bought at a gun show a couple years back for $10 each, they have held up good and are bright.( 200 lumens) The brand is TechLight, they use 3 AAA's and have low, bright ,and strobe.I have a couple of Surefire's but use these more.I would like to try one of the 1000 lumens at WM, just to see how bright they are.
  4. Has anybody looked at the lights that WalMart carries? They have some that says they are 1000 lumens and 500 and 700 lumens. Some are rechargeable and some run with AA's.Prices are from $40 to $70.I may get one of the 1000 lumen lights and try it. I can always return it if it' s not a good light.
  5. Ok, thanks for the replies.I was just wondering if I could use them if I got in a bind and SRP is all I had.About all I would use them in is lever action 357 rifles and a Ruger Blackhawk 357, so they should be no problem setting them off.So you think the SRP's burn hotter than the SPP's ?
  6. Is this safe to do using in a rifle? Just curious about it.Thought I'd saw it talked about in here before. I searched but didn't see anything.
  7. Yes , I know it just takes that one pellet in the right place.I'd like to get them to pattern a little better though.I'm gonna try to find some #6 turkey loads to try.
  8. I'm not having much luck getting good patterns at 40 yards with my Remington 1187. 12 gauge and my sons 1187 20 ga.I have a Hastings .665 and a Primos Tight Wad .660 for my 12 ga. And a Carlson's .575 for the 20.I've tried different size shot and different brands.About the most I can get in the head is about 20 shot.I heard different people brag about there shotgun putting 60 or 70 shot in the head at 40,50,or 60 yards. What are some of y'all using?
  9. Yeah I've always liked them,I have a Remington 1100 and a 870 Wingmaster that was my Dads.
  10. What kind of prices for the field loads?
  11. You would think WM would carry more of them,28 ga is more common than 16 ga.Don't know why.I see the heavy load Remington 16 ga. from time to time.
  12. Anybody know where to get any reasonable?light loads or heavy loads.
  13. I loaded some up today with 4.2 and 4.5 grains of Bullseye ,and that did the trick!I'm getting really good group now, about the size of a silver dollar at 25 yards, compared to the 8" and bigger groups that I was getting. So I guess they needed a little more powder. So I learned something today.
  14. Up till now these and the Missouri bullets is the only thing that didn't shoot good.I have about 3 other different brands that shot really good in the rifle.
  15. I bought some 158 grain RNFP from Missouri bullet that shoots the same as these.
  16. Ok, I'll do that. It's weird how they shoot good out of my Blackhawk . Thanks
  17. Do you think if I put a load in them for a jacketed bullet they might seal off in the barrel and get better accuracy?
  18. I got some 158 gr.SWC bullets and can't get a good group with them out of my Rossi M92 rifle.Im using 3.5 grains of Bullseye in 38 cases.i have some Remington SWC's in 158 grain and they group tight.I have tried different powders too,but the Falcons still won't group. They do group good in my Ruger Blackhawk .I've had people to tell you can push the Falcon bullets to 357 velocity.Should I load some with a jacketed load and try that?
  19. I've been reading they are the same, but didn't know why the burn rates are different. Thanks Jeff
  20. I've read these powders are the same, is this true?According to the burn rate chart there is a little difference.I bought some HP38 to use in 38 special with 158 grain lead bullets.I'm loading on using a little dandy powder thrower on a RCBS Green Machine.I have a #5 rotor in it which will throw 4 grains of HP 38.I've only found 1 book that has a load over 4 grains for HP38,and saw a few that has 231 loads over 4 grains.Anybody use HP 38 in 38 spl.?
  21. I got a 30-06 case stuck and sent it back to RCBS , I think it cost $5.They checked it out and polished it.
  22. Some idiot has been posting some CCI Blazer on GOC for .17 a round.
