  1. Well I just went and bought a new single-action. Wasn't meaning to today or even a new one for that fact but hey, life is short. I just fell in love with this Uberti/Cimarron "Evil Roy" .357 stainless with a 4.75" barrel. The gun is modeled after the 1873 Colt I understand. It has "Evil Roy" engraved in the barrel. It is the alias of a SA cowboy shooting champion Gene Pearcy. I had heard the name but didn't make the connection til I did a little reading. The gun was a little over my budget but once I handled it I just fell in love. The action is the smoothest of any gun I have ever handled. I had never heard of the gun but have been doing a little studying since I bought it. Haven't fired it yet. Almost a shame to being so beautiful. I took a few pics. Anyone else have any dealings with this gun or know anything more about them? I think it'll be a good one.

    "Glock Haters"

I am not a Glock hater hater. That's the majority of my pistols. The very first semi auto pistol I bought when I was 21 was a Taurus 24/7 in .45 ACP. I do not care much for .45. All I buy now is Glock. I don't look down on XD or 1911 guys though. And as far as looks, at first I didn't like how the Glock looked but I have grown fond of the look, function and dependability. As far as shooting, i can say without exageration that i have NEVER had a failure with any of mine. The only thing I have done was intentionally limp wrist my 26 and finally made it short cycle. I own/have owned the 17,20,22,23,26,27,32 and 34. I probably won't ever buy another pistol. Just me. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  5. Those are some of the same concerns I had. I would be renting the building at a pretty sweet deal. I don't want to give it away. I am sure going to do some more checking on it as far as liability and insurance issues. If I do get the wheel rolling and have one and it does well, I may try to make it like a semi-annual or quarterly event. I'm gonna do some homework. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  6. I was just wondering if anyone has ever put on a gun show and knows of the legalities of doing so. I have a commercial building available for rent. It's air conditioned and around 6,800 square feet. I have been thinking of putting on a gun show but don't know if I can or what I would have to do. There are about 200 8ft tables at the facility for my use. So I guess my question is can I rent tables to vendors and advertise the heck out of it and pull it off? I would think around $75 per vendor and and extra $15 per table and something like $5 admission or along those lines. Any advice or am I just daydreaming? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

  10. I love crocks. I've got blue ones, black ones, gray ones and even suede leather ones (for fancy occasions) ha
  11. Thanks. Will do. It will be a couple weeks. Gotta recoup some funds. I have my eye on a few things.
  12. I'm sure I knew him. Not good with names. There was one guy I kept seeing at the Bill Goodman gun show that worked at Harley. Probably him. He's mid 40's, bout 5' 9" gray in his hair...
  13. Oh I've paid my dues at the Harley shop. I sold my bike a year ago to buy a jeep but I sure do miss it.
  14. I live on the east side of Maury County near the Marshall line on Hwy 50. Lot of good folks on here.
  15. Welcome T-bird. I'm in Columbia.
  16. Heritage .22 Stainless Ruger Blackhawk .357 6.5" Same Blackhawk after Hogue grips Old 3 screw Blackhawk .357 that I shouldn't have sold My new Ruger Single-Ten .22 (love it)
  17. We can use them. I have looked at a few online. I am gonna order a pressure switch for one of the flashlights I already have. It just uses the 30mm rings so I can pick those up at a show or shop and the pressure switch is only around $20. I'm not sure if I like the grip/bipod or just a plain vertical grip. I probably won't put a bipod on the carbine upper. I am hopping to buy a 20-22" barrel upper with the stainless bull barrel before this winter for coyote hunting. That way I could have my hunting upper with my Pro-Staff 4-16x50 on it and put a bipod on there too.
  18. I just got in. I bought one today. I got the eotech 512 just because I got an ok deal. I liked the one my Sargent had on his rifle. He had a much nicer one but I did like the reticle. I really wasn't meaning to buy one today but I found this one and decided to go with it. I have heard about the battery life not being so great but I do like that it takes AA. I have those around all the time. I'm gonna take it out this weekend to zero it.
  19. I've really been taking in what everyone has to say. Y'all really know your stuff. I may just be and AR fan for life now. I took the new one out Saturday to our Dept.'s range and one of the deputies/range officers wanted to shoot it. He shot from a bench at about 35 yards with the iron sights and it was dead on from out of the box. I put about 15 through it from the same distance in about a 5" group. We were using dept. issue 55 grn Federal tactical ammo. I was mistaken in an earlier post. It will be used as a patrol rifle. I tried one of the guy's eotech and really like them. So i guess my $250 budget will have to be stretched a little bit.
  20. It's 1/9 twist. I haven't had time to take it out yet but will tomorrow probably.
  21. Well.....I just bought one.. ..a Rock River tactical operator II. Lemme' have it.
