1. Lol @ KahrMan. I called in a really nice tom for a buddy of mine yesterday. It was over 24lbs, 10 inch beard and over an inch spurs. I stayed back behind him and did some float calling.
2. Got out this morning heard several gobblin but refused to leave their hens. I decided to move to another property and sit out in a small field. They have been crossing this field and using it as a strutting area. Setup started calling, got a hen to come in. We talked for a minute until this guy came running into the field. He took a dirt nap at 36 yards. Not my heaviest bird of the season but had a nice beard and spurs. 20lbs 1oz, 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs. NWTF score 60.69
3. Congrats to you both.
4. Congrats and a nice turkey!!
5. Have fun, be safe and I hope you catch some slabs.
6. I've never used them. Whitetail are light skinned animals. I use power points and they have expand good.
7. I've been seeing and calling them up this year in the afternoons. By the afternoons the hens will leave the toms and are easier to call most of the time. This guy came in to 40 yards and refused to come any closer. I didn't have any decoys as I was running and gunning. He was strutting like a boss than he took a dirt nap. Made a good shot at 40 yards through the woods. Now it's time to concentrate on getting my daughter a turkey.
8. Got off work and headed for the woods. Got in started calling and 20 minutes later #2 of the season on the ground. I had several birds gobbling but he is the only one that came in strutting. 23lbs 3oz, 10 inch beard, 1 inch and 1 1/16 inch spurs. NWTF score of 63.81
9. Thanks everyone.
10. Jeff I'm not the best but if you need any help calling let me know.
11. 23 lbs 10 oz, 9.5 inch beard, left spur is 1 inch and right spur is 7/8 total NWTF score of 61.38. Killed him around 1:00 today. Started out using my trough call and closed it out with my mouth call. He came in to 35 or so yards (didn't have a clear shot) but turned around and started walking away from me. I thought I had been busted since I had no time to set up my decoys. I waited for about 5 minutes so he would relax. I then started doing really really soft putts, purrs and a few whines. It was all I needed, he came strutting back in to 20 yards and thats all I needed.
12. Nice bird.
13. No turkeys. Couldn't even get one to talk lol.
14. Congrats!!! Im out in the blind with my 8 year old daughter. Hopefully we will get a shot.

Been out this mornin trying to get my 8 year old daughter a turkey. Headed to Academy Sports to pick up a few things now and then we headed back to the blind this afternoon. 16. Im ready to take my daughter. Supposed to snow so not sure how productive it will be.
17. This is just aweful. Please tell him I will be praying for him.
18. I've got trail cam pics of some nice toms.
19. .640 is the tightest I have seen for a 12 gauge shotgun. I'm running a Kicks Gobblin Thunder .670.
20. That pay per tag could get costly.
21. I think i'm gonna like this. Last year during deer season it took me forever to check in a deer in Rutherfod County. We only have a few places that check big game and everyones machine was down. It was frustratiing to say the least.
22. They did not come down wind. The way I setup didn't allow them to come down wind.
23. http://www.primos.com/products/turkey-mouth-calls/ Its the dome mouth calls.
24. They make a mouth call that has a plastic piece and it fits in the roof of your mouth. That may also help you out. I think Primos makes it.
