  1. So they are not old or anything it would appear. I did see that they are still being produced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This belongs to a friend. It was his great grandfathers model 10. Has anyone ever seen one of these before? It says Tyler's Grips Oklahoma City 73114. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. For that price, it better not have a single dent or scratch and/or come with the accessories. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nah I'll call it evening up the odds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. If you ever want to sell that Hakim I'm sure either myself or Mr. Brian will take it off your hands. The only thing I'm not fond of on the Egyptian guns is the hieroglyphics on the rear sight haha
  6. What I can start out saying about this rifle is that shooting it compares to no other semi auto surplus gun I have ever fired. It is a direct gas impingement system that drives the action, so that's very cool. The only other old gun that does that is the MAS 49/56. There is almost no, 0, ziltch felt recoil. It is certainly the smoothest shooting semi auto gun I have ever had the pleasure of shooting; nothing past or present of any substantial caliber can compare to how this old gun tames recoil. Part of that may also be the 139 grain 6.5x55 round, which I found to be adequate enough, from the bullets I dug out of the dirt, to pick as my deer gun this year. Something that I will be looking into is whether or not the Swedes had an optic planned for this rifle. The left side of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount.
  7. How much are they asking? I've seen them as high as $700 on gun broker. Also depends on whether it's still a 7.5 French gun or a .308 converted gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. New addition to my full size 40s vintage self loading rifle collection. Finally bagged me a Swedish AG-42b otherwise known as a Ljungman. Here it is pictured with my other three. Top to bottom: 1942 Springfield Garand, 1945 Ljungman, 1941 SVT 40, and an Argentine FN49. . Still on the to acquire list are a MAS 49/56 and the Egyptian Hakim (Ljungman copy). Then maybe a Beretta BM-62 or a Walther K/G43 if I can swing it. I would still love a 41 Johnson automatic too. Again, this is just the big rifles. I have also an m1 carbine and SKS. I'll add a VZ 52 and a Rasheed at some point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I sent mine off as well, thanks to the OP for printing the forms for me.
  10. Thanks for the input! And I do realize the other noises produced do create issues, but I just want to make sure that I go as short as I can get away with and get the most muffling of the blast as I can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A New Color!

You NEED to at least shoot one once in your life! I have a ww2 era example and my buddy claims it shoots better than his fancy new 9mm.
  12. And you rent this where? You should do a vepr too if its feasible.
  13. Hi guys. I have already filed the form 1 for a suppressor build and I'm looking for some input, if anyone has experience, on what diameter I could go with on the titanium tube. My uncles first one he had made is a 1.5" diameter by 9" long can. Here recently, he says that he is more interested in a 1.625" diameter can because apparently it has a deeper tone to it and seems to quiet down 7.62 better than the 1.5". My question is: since I am only using this can on a 5.56 ar, could I get away with a much shorter can than 9" by using the 1.625" diameter can? I want it to be hearing safe but at the same time I want it as short as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I did recently discover the set screws were loose from radical, so I locktited them in place. No more leaking.
  15. No it functions flawless so far...I'm about 90 rounds into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I should I guess...I'm just afraid once I remove those screws that they will always be wanting to work themselves loose. I know there's locktite I just don't have any. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I have a new Radical Firearms 10.5" 5.56 upper that is turning my barrel and rail brown from leaking gas at either the block and barrel or the tube to block points. My uncle had this same issue on a 10.5" 300 blk out upper and he sent it back. Before I do that, I think I would like to see if after enough rounds it fouls itself up enough to seal. What do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Engraving

I need my lower engraved on my sbr. If you'd be willing to do that for me, send me a PM with a price and address I can ship to.
  19. Daryl makes sense to me, since he has his new motorcycle show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The fella I bought it off of said it was. I have the original bottom stock piece that he took off of it. The new stock started off really really light colored but it's darkened up quite a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I hate the new Wideners. No surplus ammo. No c&r guns. What I would've given to have known they were gonna sell out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thought I would show the community how well I've progressed since becoming a trigger finger amputee.   All pistols in this video except the Nagant and the Enfield were fired with the nub I still have.   Notice I switch to the middle finger on the 3rd shot with the Nagant revolver, because even in single action the trigger is atrocious.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPsC6FXN_Fw
  23. Few weeks late, but the FN49 works pretty good so far. Got me a reproduction sling on the Garand now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
