Anymore news on this?

Its looking like the end of Sept or first week(s) in October.

We are slammed here at the shop until then, plus I have to be gone for most of Sept. to play Army.

More info to follow once I get the range dates nailed down.

Okay, we now have a tenative date. We're looking at 3 November, a Sunday. The weather should be perfect, and it should be far enough from Christmas for everyone to spend a little money :D. The NG range is looking like a no-go (too restrictive), so we're thinking we can "borrow" the Middle Tennessee Shooters Club's range in Manchester. It's an open date for the club, so I've pretty sure we can work it out to use their place. Its an incredible facility for a shoot like this, with seperate bays and indoor plumbing. Maybe the best news is it's 5 minutes off of I-24, so all of you Nashville/M'boro guys can zip right down easy.

Now, the tenative lineup: several M4-type variants (including the .22lr conversion, until it gets too filty to run), full-size Uzi (suppressed), Sten, AK74, 11.5" FAL... I know Frank at ETS wants to bring his MP5 down, and who knows what else he might dig up.

Which brings me to my next question... how many folks would plop down $20 for a 50rd belt on this puppy?

The RPD... 7.62X39, I've been thinking about buying one, but I'm pretty broke, so I'd have to subsidize a pretty big chunk of it by sharing the love. :cool:If I can get commitments for 100 or so belts in the next week or two, I should be able to get it shipped in time for the shoot. Just let me know... and more info to follow on the fun!!

I'd love to shoot any kind of fully automatic M-16/AR variant.

I plan on bring a few hundred bucks to blow on ammo. The way I see it, this is nearly a once in a lifetime opportunity :D

Just one question.. is this place paved or dirt/muddy? I know, I'm picky, but it will determine whether I drive a Mustang down just for a nice trip in one, or my beater.

Bring the beater. Trust me.

It's mostly gravel but 2-3 hundred yards off the pavement. If it's dry you will get dusty if it's wet you may get muddy. If it's in between just don't bother washing it. YMMV

Dan,

I haven't heard a start time mentioned yet but keep in mind the neighbors (Church People) at MTSC have gotten a bit upset about shooting before 12 or 1 on Sundays.

I believe that is why the 3 gun matches were moved to Saturday.

11/3 is a Saturday. I'm in either Sat or Sun and will bring money for ammo. Count me in for a couple of belts.

I'm bringing some money and a camera, and I'm not looking to film a porno!

I can't wait to shoot an M-16 and an MP5, if such guns are available.

That's not what I heard Reef :-)

but I want to burn some money down the barrel of a MP5 myself

Do we have any specifics on this yet. Is it still happening? Where? How is it going to work? Do we provide our own ammo, do we by ammo from you, do we need cash, etc?

Hey guys.

This WILL need to be pushed back.

I know it sucks, but they Army seems to think they still own me, and I will gone for about 5 days during the time this shoot is scheduled to happen.

We will need to circle back in a month or so and try to find some dates that work for most of the people interested.
