.45 Colt Display Ammo

Recommended Posts

I do not reload so looking for some ideas for this project. I need 25 .45 Long Colts for display in Cowboy belt.after talking to some Cowboy shooters they say

Nickel ammo ,new or cleaned with no primer.  Brass will tarnish on leather.

Round nose lead,250 grain or so..

How would I crimp with no reloader?

Tried David and several vendors at gun shows,no luck.

Thanks

Will

Did the same thing years ago. This guy is a vet and bought a ton of these to put it my display belt. Actual weight and size.... Dispite his finger prints, they polish up nice... Use a polish glove and give them a coat of Renn Wax to help hinder tarnish..

Didn't see nickel in that caliber but you can ask him. He has other cal nickel case... won't hurt to ask.

What flavor ammo do you guys recommend for practice ammo for a 9 MM pistol? I plan to purchase some(2 to 3 thousand rounds)  before the election. Might get scarce again.
I have been purchasing Win White box 115 gr Rn from Wal Mart, but they are selling out and not being replaced. Going to order from internet company, S G Ammo.

Never owned a .380; never shot one.  Have read lots of info on both sides of the debate that the .380 is or is not a good round for self-defense.  I know that many of you here carry a .380, so please educate me about a caliber I know nothing about.
      Thank you for your feedback!
