Bellshire Hardware, dickerson road, ask for Phillip. He charges $20 + the $10 TICS fee. Can't beat that.

This IS good. I'm not familiar with Bellshire Hardware - do they actually have guns for sale there?

Hardware stores that sell guns are definitely a dying breed. I found my prize Smith&Wesson Model 29 back in 1974, when they were impossible to find, at Carter Hardware on Lebanon Pike. I also recall a pretty nice gun store within Kay Hardware in Donelson. The old days!

I stopped by Bellshire this past week and met Phil. He doesn't have guns on display in the store but said he often has a few locked away in their safe. Most of his gun business seems to be done online, hence his willingness to do FFL transfers for not a whole lot of money.

I believe that Chris B. told me that The Outpost is going to charge $25-ish for their transfers, but please don't hold me to that. I know he was stunned that On Target charges $50 now.

Man that is good. I called around town here in Memphis on Friday and everyone here wants $40 + the $10 TICS fee.

Did you call all the numbers from the GunBroker database? I haven't called around but there were a handful of people who had FFL's and can do transfers cheaply that don't show up as gun dealers in normal searches...

I ordered a couple long guns through Phil in January. A very smooth transaction with no issues. It's correct that he doesn't have any firearms on display, but if you know what you're looking for, Phil seems happy to order it.

Also, his prices were the lowest I could find for the models I ordered (lower than pricing found on gallery of guns, etc.).

I think Second Amendment Gun Shop in Springfield does $20 + $10 background.

There's a little gun shop in Lafayette, TN called Antlers and Feathers that does it for the same price.

Not sure how much G&L cost.
