Question for M&P 9C owners

Recommended Posts

I picked up a M&P 9C not long ago and finally got to take it to the range. It shot well but was ejecting the hot brass right at my face and one even went down my shirt. I wasn't doing anything that I haven't done for years as far as stance or grip. Is this just something normal for this gun or do I have a bad one? It is a bit distracting!

The firearm needs to be returned to Smith & Wesson so that they can tune the ejector and extractor a bit. The good news is that S&W provides a lifetime warranty for the lifetime of the gun and will pay for shipping both to and from them and have your weapon back to you in short order.

I thought mine was doing it at one point. But what was happening was the brass would hit the divider at the range (indoor range) and rebound straight at me. When I shoot it outside I dont have the problem.

I've got about 400-500 rounds through mine and it's never done that. You should give S&W customer service a call. 1-800-331-0852 (Inside USA) 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (Monday - Friday). They'll probably tell you to send it back.
