Proud of my lil girl while reloading

Recommended Posts

Was in my man spot reloading some .45. My 7 year old daughter came over and was watching me. Not making a sound while I'm at the bench. Then she started telling me the next step after I charged the loads. So i let her put the rounds on the press I positioned the bullet and let her seat them. Man that was some great father daughter time. she stayed with me for all 50 rds. On my single stage press. Alil slow but man so worth it.

Sorry for the mushy story.

Good Story. If this was a common event in families we all would not be thinking as much about carrying for self defense. Keep it up and continue to raise her like this. Teach her gun safety also.

I had the same problem with my son while he was in high school. During college he came back around to shooting sports but congrats to your son on the free ride.

I've got two daughters and it's wierd what they end up wanting to get into. One likes fishing, the other would rather read. It's awesome when you get to discover what the're into, all you have to do is support and give them a hug.

My 3 year old always wants to help me clean the guns. She also gets a kick out of shooting an old BB gun, and a .22 my dad had cut down for me when I was 5.

Get's ya all warm and fuzzy, doesn't it? My 8 year old son reloads his own ammo, with close supervision from Dad, of course. I can't wait until my 6 month old daughter gets to the point where she can hang out in the gun room with the old man as well. Funny thing is that my son, who is all boy and wouldn't dare be associated with girly stuff normally, has helped me look for pink rifles (CZ makes a nice little 452 in pink, by the way) for his baby sister.

My lil one has the most liberal guidance counsler. She hates guns and lets the kids know it. I told mine she could tell her that she was reloading big bullets at home with me, during class today. So if I'm not here tomorrow the liberal crowd might have hauled me off for being a bad parent.:shake:
