Technically, yep, says "...while inside any room in which judicial proceedings are in progress..."

Do you often go into court rooms when court is NOT in session?

Doesn't matter in Knoxville, as the courtrooms are all in a posted building to begin with.

Hamblen county commission meetings are held in the largest county court room so yes many of us here attend when court is NOT in session.

Soooo, are you saying YOU are going to be the one that goes and points out the incorrect sign?

or are you the one that is going to carry anyway cause the sign isnt legal?

that was the question of this thread.

No, I said in a previous post that I would not carry nor point out the sign was not correct, but I did recommend contacting the CLEO requesting they provide gun lockers to law abiding citizens and asking who authorized the posting of the station, and would then contact my local council member to pressure them to revoke the posting.

I think I've addressed the question and made a reasonable recommendation on how best to handle this type of posting.

nope, your right... JayC is misinformed.

I'm sorry I am aware that the restriction is for only when court is in session, but felt that since this thread isn't dealing with the finer points of courtroom carry I didn't need to be that specific when using courtrooms as an example of places restricted by state law, obviously I should have spent 2 more sentences to properly define that law which was only being used as an example.

No body was crapping on ya, I just asked to make sure I was not wrong since I do work all over.

Your county building is not posted like ours?

Not sure for this month :drama:. It seems to go back and forth between poorly posted, posted on some entrances, to not posted at all.
