Free Oven for Duracoating!!!

Recommended Posts

Want to start Duracoating but the wife won't let you use the oven?

You can have one for FREE! All you have to do is come pick it up.

This Tuesday, our 7 yr old oven started flashing "F1" on the display and the temperature kept going up in it. (Wife was baking a cake.) I think she wanted a new one anyway. I looked it up online and it appears the main board (around $160) may be out. I haven't tinkered with it to know for certain.

It is a 7 yr old, Frigidaire, flat top, with a stainless steel front. It's in good shape and I'll try to get a picture on here tomorrow.

The wife wanted to toss it but I said I knew someone that would want it because their wife wouldn't let them Duracoat in the house. :)

First PM with "I'll take it!" gets it.

I've looked in to the "F1" error and the clock (main board) needs to be replaced. You can buy this part off of Ebay for $60. I bought a new cord for the new one so that'll save you another $20.

When I shot the picture I realized all the crud that has dripped down the side for the past 7 years. (It just needs to be wiped down.)

If nobody wants this soon, wife says I have to put it on the curb.

Which is why it sucks as a firearm coating. :screwy:

You don't "HAVE TO" bake it... But it does help it cure out faster and seems to be tougher afterwards. As far as it "sucking" I don't agree, but like any other finish, it has to be properly prepped, applied, and cured to get it to work properly.
