Suppressor Transport?

What do you guys normally transport your suppressor in when going to the range? I may have to lower my standards on what I am looking for. Something about 8" square and 2" tall would be Ideal, but have found nothing close. Some of the pistol cases look good, but i would like something that is locked tight. Putting a padlock on those, you can still lift up the other corner enough to gain access. Someone suggested a pelican case, but i am not seeing anything on there site that would be much different than the pistol cases as far as lockup. Am I too narrow or paranoid with my choice or is there something out there to satisfy my wants? It will also reside in this case while in my safe, so another reason to keep it on the small side. Thanks.

At 8" square and 2" tall, what's to keep someone from just walking off with the entire case and opening it later?

I'd think any case you could put a lock on would do fine, my main concern would be the entire container being stolen, instead of someone smashing into it while it was in my vehicle.

what I would like to make is a lock box that is bolted to the floor of my car for those times I will have to leave my handgun in th e car. but I have a crap load of other things I would like to do that require time and money also.

if anyone has some suggestions fora box like this let me know, I want something with some strength, not something from super thin sheet metal that a toddler could tear up with a rubber hammer

My .22 supressor I just put in my pocket. That way if I have to stop en route it is with me and not left in the car (same for my .22 pistol BTW). If I am shooting my MG supressed I make it a point NOT to stop going or coming home - thats entirely too much $$$ to remotely take a chance on leaving it in the car. YMMV...

I think if I had one I would have a pelican case or similar for the pistol or rifle it is for with custom cut foam and the suppressor in it.

That's what I am thinking, but I don't own one so.....
