Depends on the job you are using them for. My grandfather taught me to use the correct tool for the job. As such, one perfect tool is far more valuable when you need it than 10 substandard ones.

exactly, IF the 5 were diverse enough to cover most plausible scenarios, I would much rather have the 5 valuable tools instead of the 30 not-so-valuable tools.

I'd rather have 5 totally bada$$ guns. That way my wife has no idea how much I've invested in them and people won't think I'm some kind of a nut. Ha Ha! ;)

Nothing against hunting but I don't hunt. If I did, I would probably feel the need to fill a lot more categories. For me it's just personal protection and HD.

Just to clarify...I mean no offense by "standard". All my guns are standard as of now. I was thinking of selling off some to clear some cash to add on to the most used. I don't hunt, so I'm with xreedx, it's all HD, PP, and zombie preparation. Just wanting to start a different topic on here for fun!

I'd rather have a few guns that I will use, can use well... and are equipped with quality accessories which are useful to me.

I have no use for a safe full of guns that I will never shoot, or wouldn't be a first, second or third choice in any practical scenario I may encounter.

I'm quite happy with 2-3 rifles, 2-3 shotguns, 4-5 handguns so I can and spend the rest on ammo, range time and training.
