The rumor has been confirmed, it is a fact, the XDM-45 is coming.

Slated to be released in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2010, the XDM-45 has been confirmed.

No further details yet, but speculation says 14+1 possibly 15+1.

I will update thread with links and info as I find it. I am ecstatic about this to say the least.

Well, how about a link to what you just posted?

Who "confirmed" this?

We had some catalogs from Springfield that said it was 14+1 capacity. It was 'supposed' to be already available from the date we were told then, but heck... better late than never!

No idea on pricing, but I'd wager about $50 bucks more than the xdm 9 or 40 price.

I think the M is a Match Grade bbl. not sure if trigger is diff. or not

The trigger is a little bit different. My XD has a somewhat mushier feel than my XDm. My wife actually likes the XD trigger better, but I think most guys, especially if you like Glocks, will like the XDm trigger better

I have the XDm 40. The gun just seems to be alot smoother than the XD's. As for trigger, it's not alot different. Just a smooth shootin gun....can't wait on the .45!!

I like the XDm's grips better. Not so much the interchangeable backstraps as the more aggressive checkering. No skateboard tape needed.

The trigger parts appear to have some kind of hard finish applied to them. This is probably why the trigger pull is smoother than the regular XD. I noticed the same thing when I had the internals of an XD hard-chromed by Tripp.
