The short version for a handgun… Forget USPS, declare exactly what you have at the counter of UPS or FED-EX. UPS must be at a terminal.

Just keep in mind that even if you are legally shipping a firearm you are still at the mercy of the shipper regardless of what the law is. I recently was refused a legal shipment at the UPS terminal in Murfreesboro and had to drive it to Chattanooga.

Have a back-up plan. :rolleyes:
