HCP Wait times

Recommended Posts

I just spent a couple of "wonderful" hours at the Dept. of Safety filing for my HCP. I immediately went and got fingerprinted, just so I could get it all done in one day.

What are realistic wait times for me to get my permit in the mail?

My co-worker said his took 8 weeks almost to the day. I really hope it's not that long.

Knew someone that got one recently, took less than a month. RENEWAL on the other hand...send in your renewal asap, it took a couple days shy of 6 months for mine to renew :P:poop:

Whatever the time you can rest assured it will be quicker than it would have been at this time last year. Lately it does seem like most folks are getting them at about the 4 week mark and it seems that I have read of some even sooner than that.

But they do still have the full 90 days to issue or tell you if you need to submitt any additional info or not.

The waiting IS the worst part of the whole process.

Good luck to ya....
