CHILHOWEE PARK

Recommended Posts

Ok, I know this has been ask before on this forum, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Since the guns in parks law went into affect, can you carry at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville (not talking about the gun shows but the park in general). Having a class reunion there and want to make sure the legality of it. Thanks for helping the lazy fatboy out. :)

No you cannot carry. While Knoxville did not opt out of the new law, they are essentially exempt since they have an old law (pre-1985?) that prohibits firearms in parks. I forget how it works exactly.

Chilhowee Park in general is relatively safe considering it's location. At the zoo, we have maybe one or two car break-ins a year. Not to mention there's usually a cop car or two hiding/taking a break/not doing anything under the pavilions. :)
