G, they're from Kentucky...

I don't know about snapping up deals..but to do so wholesale and then resell them for a NOT modest profit.

or calling someone that has already found a buyer..and convincing him to demand more money. someone like that, i would ban. Or soliciting people with spam emails after you got banned from a board..

I should imagine that you don't do something like that...

Tower,

Thanks for clearing that up a little. Fugate's in Calhoon, Tn. are nice folks and not any affiliation with these other's.

I thought that the 2 were brothers. The snapping up deals and reselling is something I do all the time... that's one of the main reasons I regularly visit gun stores (my prize treasures are very few and far between). But several posts also attacked their ethics.

Since both are in my AOR, I'll take your word on the Calhoon folks, Dr, but I may avoid the KY folks.

I'm glad someone spoke up for the Fugates in Calhoun. I'll go back to the S&W forum and make sure they know the two aren't connected.

G&D, I just love your dogs!!

Thank you TNDixieGirl, yes please do so, the Fugates in Calhoun are sweet GOOD people, I use their gun range for practise and I bought one of my guns there and they are very fair and I just can't imagine them being associated with the ones in Ky. The company names are the same though, I hope this doesn't affect their business.

I did let them know. I know the question came up, but I don't think anyone believed the two families were connected. Apparently the S&W forum owner has had a few years worth of problems from the Fugate brothers in KY. I'd never heard of them until I got spammed a few days ago after they went harvesting e-mail adresses from S&W forum members. Thats completely tacky in my book.

I did notice that the Calhoun Fugates business name is technically Fugate's Firearms. The Kentucky Fugates name is Fugate Firearms (w/out the S). Tiny difference, but if it were the same company, they'd have the exact same name.

No Kidding.

I also got the spam from the A--Holes after they stole our email addresses from the S&W Forum.

Do those jerks really think that is good business?

I bet their seriously rethinking it now. :D

The nice lady who owns Fugates Firearms in Calhoun, Tn is my second cousin.....

A family member with a Gun Store! That would be almost be worth an arranged marriage. :)

But I agree with canynracer that a heads up to your cuz is in order. The S&W Forum and its thousands & thousands of members (like me) are Big Time Pissed that the Kentucky Fugate Firearms stole our emails and spam us. That anger is also spilling over to other forums like AR15.com & Glocktalk.com.
