Smyrna Air Show (May 7-8, 2011)...Anyone?

Things I should know? Other than get there early and bring a chair?

Bring sunscreen and/or a boonie style hat. You can get fried sitting on a flight line all day. Bring a camera if you want. And might want to bring ear plugs if you are going to bring young children.

I am thinking about going on Sunday. But still haven't heard what kind of Mother's Day plans the family has.

The Thunderbirds put on a good show, not as good as the Blue Angles, but still very impressive. And there will be all kinds of static displays to walk around and look at.

Love me a good airshow. Haven't been to one in years.

Bring a chair, good hat, sunscreen, drinks, snacks, comfy shoes, camera. May also consider an umbrella for portable shade, big blanket to lay on, earplugs for the kiddies, ...

I used to watch the show from my backyard before I moved. My property backed up to airport property.

I am buying a ticket for Sunday.

We will officially be there. Taking my niece and nephew to see some jets up close and in person.

$15 before, $20 at the gate.... one of the only things I miss about MD, VA area Airshows .... free entry! ... Well, we'll probably there anyways... haven't seen the Thunderbirds in awhile... last few times at airshows have always been the Blue Angels. (Seinfield saying, "not that there's anything wrong with that")

I don't know how families afford to go to the air shows anymore. Just way too expensive.
