Hello

One of my members posted a link to this site so I wanted to stop in and say hello.

I am the owner of a number of firearms and military history websites – with Gunboards.com being one of the oldest and best known discussion boards pertaining to military surplus firearms. I started what was to become Gunboards back in 1995 which makes me an old man on the Internet (smile).

My collecting interests focus for the most part on Finnish firearms and militaria from 1917-1945 but I also collect items from Estonia and Israel. For a number of years I have been an active researcher on the Mosin Nagant line of rifles and my research has been seen in pretty much every publication on the subject in the past ten years or so. My research has been done in many nations such as Russia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and others countries in Europe that I have traveled to.

I am the co-author of the book Finland At War and I am in the process of finishing up a couple other book projects, which along with my duties on the Net dominate a lot of my time. Lastly I am a member of the Smokey Mountain Gun Collectors Association. I look forward to stopping in now and again - Regards

I also collect WW1 US items to some degree. It is not a focus by any means but I have added about 20 or so tunics to my collection over the years.
