Last year was a rough one for our heros, this sure is no way to start off a new year.

I hope they are all OK but it is worrisome with no condition reports.

It is also scary considering that they were on a planned raid and took that many hits.

I thought drug raids were best done early in the AM. At least that's what I was told by a friend from the DEA. I'm not second guessing their tactics, just wondering if that was true.

AP is reporting that the shooter was a former soldier (94-98). I'll be interested to see more information about this. I remember not too long ago a SWAT team assaulted the house of a Marine that ended up being the wrong house. The Marine defended himself and was killed in the process. Don't know if that happened here, but I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt before labeling him as veteran that snapped... the media will handle that part just fine.
