Also, I really like 20 rounders better, and only ones decent ones I've found are Pmag and Thermold. AFAIK never been a US contract 20 rounder?

My dad gave me his from when he was in the Army when I joined. He still had a duffle buried with all kinds of TA-50 he let me sort through. I found six 20 rounders and they were all stamped Colt on the floor plate.

Don't know if you're still looking for cheap AR mags, but Primary Arms is have a 4th of July sale on all their in stock mags. You have to enter the code MAG20 and get 20% off. Bought some Pmags (30round) for about $11.36/mag yesterday with that sale. They do have a $10.99 30 round black teflon mag that should be about $8.80 a pop with that code.

When I was in basic 1966 Ft Riley Ks. 9th Inf Division we had M-14s. We shipped to Vietman Dec. 1966 and were issued M-16s four days prior to leaving Ft Riley Ks. 20 round mags were std. issue.
