Ability to Reason!

Who here has the ability to reason, or what is reasoning may I ask?

When did or do we have the ability to reason logically? How bouts, Democraps vs. Republicans or Independents and their laws and reasoning?

Where does the ability to reason come from? Is it taught, parents, inbred in our so called evolving DNA, a religion, a gut feeling or what the mass / government decides it is?

Exactly what would YOU call logical reasoning and forming an opinion, and based on what or who?

What is the difference, if any, between knowledge and wisdom?

What has been learned through out all of human history doing the same thing, over and over, and over again? (Paraphrase Albert Einstein).

Who is to say what is right and wrong, moral or immoral, evil or good, lawful or unlawful?

See where I'm going with this?

Don't be shy, sock it to me...

Reasoning is an innate trait influenced by outside forces.

Many are not even born with the ability at all.  They are called ignorant.

Many are and have the gift shaped by influences they do not question.  They are called weak.

The others are intelligent enough to search out answers and form their own opinions weighing all input from the increasingly various hypotheses and exclamations provided by the first two groups.  They are called reasonable.

Ignorance is merely lack of knowledge and can be rectified. There are many things I am ignorant of, but if I took the time and effort to educate myself on those topics, I would no longer be ignorant.

There are many intelligent people who are ignorant about something.

Reasoning is an active result of questioning, which requires a knowledge base, and a desire to understand

something. It is taught by parents, teachers, books and a lot of other things in life.

Dennis, if you really want to go into good and evil. This might not be the right place. It would get very heated in

short time. Right and wrong might end up the same way, but could be more entertaining. :D

Politics is a different animal using several players. Republicans and Democrats are only recent animals in the

arena. and they tend to defy reason and logic. More like figuring angles out. Maybe geometry would explain

politics best.

Quite true.  Perhaps "just plain stupid" is more appropriate for my original post.

Knowlege is the receiving and retention of information.

Wisdom is knowing how, when and if to use that information in order to achieve the greatest benefit.

Those 4 pair of concepts are often unrelated and each could easily take many hours to discuss. Thanks but no thanks.
