Scarface - "Say hello to mah li'l frien'!!!!"

I just watched Scarface again last week. I watch a lot of old movies and know how bad they can be because I intentionally watch "The worst movies of all time". I like to see what the Directors and Producers did to get around not having a budget. But last week watching Scarface, it really is not that old of a movie, it showed how far the quality of movie production has moved forward in such a short period of time.

Moviegoers today who were not around or too young to get into a Theater to see Scarface when it came out, would not even (In most cases) want to see it. The Production quality is not that far off of late 60's movies.

But there are a lot of guns.

looking back through the posts, Garufa reminded me of something. I watched Lord Of War several times.

Hank being killed in the Desert wasnt the first time I saw that scene.

Nicholas Cage characters brother, killed in the Desert by gun runners. (Im going off memory) but NEARLY the same scene.

I just finished watching the movie The Kingdom.  Wow, that was a good movie, and some great gun battles.  Did you know the director of The Kingdom was also the director of The Lone Survivor, Peter Berg.   I actually learned that from an older TGO post from ~2009 about The Lone Survivor.

There really is a plethora of knowledge on TGO, and from many years ago.  I joined in early 2012, but I do go back and look at posts that predate my finding this web site, many are cool, many are very informative, and some just down right funny.

No thank you.  I'll never watch another Jamie Fox movie.
