How many former Glock haters become Glock lovers after shooting the guns?

Glocks are extremely "shootable". The grip angle or width isn't for everyone but the guns are easy to shoot fast and accurately, as well as being as reliable or more so than anything else. What's to hate?

Resistance is futile.

It's funny you mention the grip angle--I picked up a 1911 this week, and couldn't find the front sight. The 1911 supposedly has the "perfect" grip angle, but I had to tilt the gun upward to see it. A 1911 with an arched mainspring housing has about the same grip angle as a Glock. Last weekend, I shot an STI Trojan (w/ arched mainspring housing) and it was ssuuwweeeet!!! Hmmm...maybe I should move to ESP...

I like the arched MSH on 1911s too. The Glocks point perfectly for me, I like the front sight "high". Be careful w/ 1911s though, it's a real pain to have $2000 in a gun that's not reliable (I know from personal experience).

I bet I can tell you more 1911-that-won't-run stories than you can. I have had bad experiences with them, too. I had a Kimber and a Colt and was disappointed with both (especially the Kimber). Every time I shoot an IDPA match, somebody's bitching about their $1200 Kimber or their $2500 Wilson. I would like one, but don't know if I'll ever try again. Even if I found a big one that would run, I wouldn't shoot it in IDPA unless I could get a smaller one to run. I don't want to compete with it unless I can carry it or a smaller version of it. I know a couple 1911 whisperers now, so never say never.

i wanted a Kimber so bad that i couldn't stand it finally i got up the money to buy one what a piece of junk i spent more time unjamming it then i did shooting it. buying a Kimber i learned nothing else even comes close to the reliability of a Glock
