Thermold AR-15 30rd Mags

Recommended Posts

Picked up a few of these for twelve-bucks a pop today. They are definately not Pmags, but the are made in USA and right now I can't complain about getting anything AR-15 for a decent price. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm sure they're fine...

The place I went to also had some .223 American Eagle ($8-something/20rd, 3 box-limit per day, picked up three) and some Hornaday Steel Match 5.56 (almst $1 a round) that was about gone, and they prolly are out as I'm writing this.... but it was still nice to see rifle ammo on the shelf while it was there....

I have about 10 of the Thermold 30 rd mags I picked up prior to the Clinton AWB ('94).

They've given great service with no issues.

I don't have any experience with recent production Thermolds.

I hope you'll post back and let us know how they run for you.

Good find on the ammo as well. Looks like you've found a vendor with integrity.

I like Thermold and have never had problems with them.  I don't think the quality is as good as PMAG's....but i think that's just because I have been using PMAG's so much over the last several years that everything else feels foreign to me (even USGI metal mags).  Congrats on paying normal price also....they are starting to get jacked up high like most of the other high cap. mags.

I have some Thermold "Master Molder" 20 rounders, got for $3.50-5.00 each. They've been fine.

Couple of them didn't lock bolt back on last round first time use, but have after that.

I picked up a few of those as well. They work great. I don't have any Pmags to compare them to.
