Selling Armor Piercing Ammo in TN

Most ammo that is advertised as armor piercing is not actually armor piercing. M855 is not considered armor piercing even though it has a steel insert. Most ammo people call armor piercing is barrier blind ammunition, not armor piercing. And according to those in charge there is a difference.

I've seen a couple of ads lately (on other sites, mind you) advertising armor-piercing ammo.  I thought that was illegal.
Am I behind on my laws, or is somebody bold and stupid?

Yeah that bill never passed or was repealed at some point in the last 18 years. There is no limitation in 39-17-1304 on ownership of AP ammo.

There is a federal law on making new AP pistol ammo, but purchasing pre-ban ammo is still legal.
