DO NOT LOOK HERE!!!

Turned out to be a restaurant called the Bearded Moose. I went in and ate because of the aforementioned sign and I'm glad I did. I ordered the Ricky Bobby burger which is a bacon cheeseburger with fried onion petals, french fries, BBQ sauce, and purple slaw. It was excellent!

Picked up some hotter ammo for self defense. These I've seen crono close to 2,100 ft per second out of a 5.7x28 pistol.

I don't really think it's anymore of a problem than their regular SS195LF ammo that moves slightly slower with the same bullet.

Those 27 grain bullets are screaming! That's what I keep in mine when I carry it. On range trips it's mostly 40 grain stuff though.

Same here...

Here goes a crono of this ammo:

New wheels, tires and Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates came yesterday.

Looks like actual tread width is 12in on the 315-35-17 and 10in on the 255-40-17.

The angle I took of the 255's make them look closer to 9in but trust me if you look dead on from the top they're clearly 10in.

I've had this 1997 since I bought it new in Oct 1996. Has an 04 aluminum block PI swap, Tremec 3550 swap, 3:73's, exhaust and all the typical bolt-ons.

Motor I swapped in for extra power and less weight

Of course that was before the headers and swapping on some of the 97 NPI stuff over.

This is the car after I dropped it off at the shop for M&M caster camber plates, Tokico shocks, alignment, etc done along with wheel install.

Will have new pics soon with FR500 wheels installed.

Very nice car. I got the chance to play with an '04 Cobra that a guy in one of my  old customer shops had. It was fantastically awesome to drive!

Indeed. a new Coyote swap will be the next step for this car when I get the money up. Then maybe a DIY turbo and call it a day on the power-train. By that time, it'll need the paint freshened up, all new suspension, and I'll definitely get rid of the seats for some Recaros out of the newer Mustangs, etc. Doing all that will still be cheaper than buying a new loaded 2015 GT.

But that's some time down the road. Trying to buy another place closer to work, hopefully with a garage to work on this thing out of the elements. Only reason I paid a friend to do this install is I'm tired of working in the elements in a gravel driveway (and summer, random rain storms, mosquito's eating my deep woods off soaked body, etc). Getting close to 40 and have a busted up back from a roll-over crash and a bad knee, so my final garage (man cave aka shop) will have a professional lift, etc.

Buddy, I do understand your issues. lol Aging is not graceful at times.

My buddy's '04 was stock at the time, running about 9 lbs boost and it was a demon to hold on the road. But so much fun.

We were cruising around, just letting me get the feel of it from light to light and corner to corner on small warehousing property one Saturday.

I'd hit the throttle and be just overwhelmed by the acceleration and the smoke from the rear.

Mark was sitting beside me telling me I hadn't even gotten the turbo fully engaged at 4500 or so rpm. Crap! That thing had so much power and torque I didn't need any more. He just sat laughing at me.

We got on a long open stretch and I got it up to about 55, hit 3rd and pegger the pedal to the floor! OMG!!! That monster broke the tires loose and smoked them all thru 3rd and 4th, with the tail just sliding all over the road. I finally had to let off as we were running out of safe roadway. But what a fun beast!

That's the last time I drove it. We sort of lost touch, but he's kept me up on the car. Says he has it running about 75 hp at the rear wheels on the dyno. Lord Help him!

I'm hoping to get behind that wheel again...maybe/

My upper and lower control arms bushings were worn out, so I installed some Hotchkis UCA's and LCA's.

Looks like it raised the rear up an inch or so.

Handles and turns better now.

Next, full Maximum Motorsports front suspension.
