1022 Redeux again

Recommended Posts

Another .22LR rifle project of mine. Tactical Machining receiver, Green Mountain Running Boar barrel, Ruger modded Mannlicher stock, harrington tricked out trigger, 70's vintage Redfield side focus 10X scope.  This stock has seen several barrels and receivers.  This is a finished product now, no more changes. Just need to refine the ammo.

GM barrels are just fine.  The chamber seems a bit tighter than a OEM Ruger carbine barrel, but I do know a fella who has had his GM barrels rechambered and recrowned and can get sub MOA at 100yards with SK ammo.  Much beyond minute of squirrel head at 35 yards for me is over doing it.

I would put the GM barrels down as more than adequate for most folks who shoot a variety of ammo.

This guy in TN has a very good reputation for making 1022 barrels:  https://www.1022rifle.com/buy/barrel
