Just saw a post from a relative. Congresswoman Ann Wagner R-MO. sent a letter to one of her Constuints. That she asked in the event of a government shutdown her pay be stopped. More bs or did she really do it. I noticed she "asked that her pay be stopped". Asking and doing are entirely different things.

This guy has that one beat:

On Saturday, Rep. Pete Gallego (D-TX) introduced a bill to designate members of Congress as "non-essential employees," meaning they would be stop being paid along with the other federal employees starting on Tuesday.

Wagner is one of a few people doing this, but the really cool one is Rep. Gary Peters who said he will take his check and donate it to charity while everyone is furloughed.  Many of the ones asking to not be paid are just doing it for show because they know they have to be paid no matter what, their request isn't valid in any way.

We all know this is just a vacation for the ones furload, when the shut down is over they will get their back pay.

SHUT DOWN MY BUG OL BUTT!!!

Bingo!

The unions have announced they'll be suing for back pay from the shutdown but I don't think they'll have to.
