New pocket companion. M&P Shield 9mm

Still have the XD-S, doubt I'll part ways with it.  They're different animals despite being similar in size.  The M&P is actually a hair larger dimensionally but it feels smaller in the hand and pocket.  The curves make it more slender to the touch than the XD-S and its blocky features.

I haven't had a chance to put any rounds through the M&P yet so I won't be carrying it for real until I get that chance.  The trigger feels great, though, and I'll welcome the two-additional rounds of capacity it has over the XD-S 45.

I'm pocket carrying my Shield 9 right now.  I've been very happy with it.  Several hundred rounds and it's never failed.  FMJ or HP, it doesn't care.  I have a DeSantis Nemisis and a Super Fly for it but prefer the Super Fly.  It sticks in the pocket a little better.  What I need now is a Shield 40.  Not because I don't like the 9, but because my other M&P is a 40 and my wife wants the 9 to replace her P-11.
