What the ****!?! No high-def Bristol race on Comcast!?!

Recommended Posts

Amazing isn't it? 8 bazillion HD channels and the only place comcast can find for it is a lousy SD channel. Between ABC and the ESPN networks you would think that something like ESPN news could be re-tasked for a few hours...

I hope I'm wrong, but based on the information I've been able to find, ABC is only airing the Bristol race on channel 245, which is not a high-def channel. It looks like the lousy Titans game is going to be on the high-def channels.

This is what happens when you get people fighting for all of these licensing deals.  What you see happen with professional sports is going to start happening everywhere for everything.  Especially if Comcast is allowed to merge with time warner, they'll jack up the price so high on content they own, the other companies won't be able to afford it

I've got charter and they haven't even shown it the last couple years. Finally able to relax and watch the Bristol night race in the comfort of my own home last night. Alternate channels were posted on jayski.com earlier this week. I'll try and post a reminder next year, but the best solution I believe is to just get tickets and go next year. The racing seems to be getting better there. Edited by hlb14
