Don't forget this Saturday, Sept 20th, Hickok45 will be at Buds in Sevierville.  I have never met the guy, but I have watched so many of his videos on youtube, that he is like family.  I may take a pumpkin for him to sign his autograph on or an old lawn mower!

You going?

Ah, well, he appears to be a man on youtube who has fired more weapons than I have probably seen. Fun, but I'm not big into YouTube, so it's no big surprise I didn't know who he was. I'll go just to say I've seen him in person and look at the new stuff Buds got in. I can think of worse things to do.

Like an idiot I've missed the two meets that were within an hour drive, now I'm considering working all night at the plant and driving 2.5 hours straight there after work. What really eats me up is that I seen him and big John leaving in his Ridgeline at the Nashville gun shop a few months ago and could only wave as he drove past. But the visit went well though because I seen a legend and left with an xds.

Anyone that gets a chance to meet Hickok45 at Bud's please encourage him to keep making those entertaining videos!
His down to earth ways combined with his fantastic shooting skills makes most other youtube shooting videos pale in comparison.

Hickok's personal range full of reactive targets and colorful soda cans begging to be shot sure looks like great fun!

Target practice restricted to just paper targets can (for me) get to be a little mind numbing if done too often.

I was there today around 2:20pm.  Shook his hand, and told him how much I appreciate his videos.  In fact, he is lucky my wife didn't tag along, since he is one of the reasons my hobby has exploded.  Talked to the other tall man, Big John, the man behind the camera.  Asked about re-takes, etc.  He said doesn't happen too often, but usually is always on the front end of getting the video going, and once Hickok45 gets going, he is always in his groove.  Did ask Hickok45 about who cleans up the compound, he said he does.  He has one of those gopher grabbers.

I enjoyed the visit, felt some of the Sig P320 again.  Wanted to feel the HK VP9, but they didn't have one.  Quite crowded in the store when I was there, but no line to see Hickok45.  Life is good.
