Only the floor was hit.

According to King, Buchanan tried to clear a round out of the weapon’s chamber, “but the magazine was still in place, and it loaded another round.”

Mag first then clear.

However, the Carry weapon should not even be considered part of any demonstration.  If you have to stop and unload to demonstrate, consider another option.

Also just a reminder, it just take a moment to make a mistake.

Same thing Lee Paige did with the infamous Glock foty demo, but he successfully put it into his foot.

“Because of proper firearm handling, the firearm was pointed in a safe direction when the Wildlife Officer accidentally discharged the firearm,” according to the statement.

accidentally or negligently?

There's a well known East Tennessee gun shop with a range.

The safety video for the range has a spot talking about cease fire and clearing your weapons. Both people in the demonstration racked their slide then dropped the magazine. I pointed it out to the worker watching the range and got a blank look. Edited by Tobashadow

call them out on it, maybe just a paying customer wasn't enough to get them to understand.  Or if you feel safe enough going back video it on your cell phone and post it.
