I know it's hard to believe but I was a grand father at age 35. I didn't learn about my oldest grandson until two years after my oldest sons death from a car accident and learned his girlfriend was pregnant with his son. His girlfriend at the time of his accident waited a couple years to tell me because I had lost my son and she wanted me to get over that before telling me about Michael. The news was somewhat of a shock but a wonderful one has she not told me I would have never known him. I see him or hear from him at least once a month. He is a Cheatham County Sheriff's deputy and has been for about 7 years now.

Now with that said the new pet names are already starting again as I now have 1 great grandson 3 years old and I am Peepaw again. I have two more great grand daughters not yet speaking and going to have another Great grand daughter any day now. About two weeks ago I got my daughter to sit down and begin making me a nice list of a kind of family tree with all the kids grand kids and great grand kids so I can keep up with all of them. She also is making it so pictures of each can be updated regularly. Sure makes it a lot easier keeping up with my pride of kids as I age...................

Congrats, I hope I live to be a grandpa.  I waited late in life, my 1st son was born when I was 36, I have a total of 4 now.  I hope to be in my late 60s or early 70s before my 1st grandbaby is born.  I am sure some folks at my kids school, think they are being raised by their grandparents.
