I successfully took my wife to the NWTF on Valentines day. It took years of training, but I pulled it off :rofl: The birth of a first child... I would have been a dead man. Congrats!!

My luck hasn't been to good. Saturday was awful and Sunday wasn't a whole lot better. I did see a good gobbler Sunday evening and another one this evening but, neither one wanted to come to a call. They were both in a field struttin"

Hopefully the turkeys will be fired up on a cold morning tomorrow.  Breaking out the cold gear for tomorrow. 

 

They were densely packed last weekend when I army crawled several hundred yards onto a flock.  I took a longer than normal shot that I would have normally not taken last weekend and missed.  Better luck this weekend.

I'm excited about it. I've never hunted before, except for one day in a dove field that had a "no fly zone" over it last fall. A friend is taking me to a fellow church member's property where they seem to have good luck most of the time. We'll see how it goes!
