Want to buy a shed for the back yard...need advice

I measured the width of the pathway to where the shed will sit before I went to ensure I had at least 12' of space (required for a 10' shed) the whole way to where it'd sit. When I got home with the quote I realized I only have a 10' gate...doh!

My choices are now build onsite or buy a puny little 8' shed and need another in a few years.

Take the gate down and put it back up?

I'd have to take out a whole corner of the fence. That corner was in the area where they had to do some jackhammering to set the posts. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth, since I can get the same size but with a skylight and ridge vent built onsite for the same price.

I'm leaning toward this outfit in Smyrna/Murfreesboro area called Backyard Buildings. My father-in-law has one they built and it's been top-notch. Anyone else heard of them? This is what I'm thinking of getting.. It's 10'X14, which is almost too much space for what I want. Plus, I'm going to add a storage loft to both ends.

I don't think I can buy one that's pre-built. There's no way to drive it into the spot it needs to go. We have an above ground pool blocking access to the gate.

I may have to have it built/assembled onsite or buy a kit.

Just another idea if you have the time to research but you could ask friends and neighbors if they know some "good" carpenters who might like to find a job project like that for a reasonable cost, materials and labor. That's worked for me in the past a time or two and if you can help with the building and labor that may cut some of the cost. Research though, you can also hire some Jackleg that will rip you off.
