Big brothers big sisters

I hope this isn't crossing forum lines. I've donated to BBBS before and decided this year to get involved and try to find sponsors to get me over the edge.

So maybe y'all would be interested in helping me out a little. I've signed up with big brothers big sisters of Tennessee in an effort to raise $1000. I've had a little success so far with the fundraising, but haven't gotten very far. I figured I'd post here and see if anyone might be interested in giving a little to help my cause.

I used to work as a volunteer for BBBS. Let me figure out a couple things cash flow wise this month and I'll see what I can do.

I really appreciate everything. It's a great organization as you all have already mentioned. I'm glad to be a part of it this year and get to do this to support them.

My wife and I have both given to BBBSoMT in the past, and they are a great organization to work with.  We give to a lot of charities, but this is one of our favorites.  They want/need your financial support, but seem to be more appreciative if you are willing to donate your time.

Yep. Time is hard to get people to give. I've been a "big" for a few years (taking a year off right now) and loved it. The Match Specialists really do listen to what you have to say and try to match you with a "little" that fits well. They matched me with a little with a lot of common interests and because I have very little experience with kids, matched me with an older kid (H.S sophomore at the time) without discipline issues. He's a freshman at Austin-Peay now and we get together when he's home on breaks. We'll probably stay in touch for the rest of our lives.
